This is one of those cases that will forever haunt me. I cringe when seeing all the kids running around, sometimes going back and forth to the concession stand, while their parents sit on the bleachers watching a ball game. Back in the day, there was even a playground behind the bleachers where the younger kids would go play away from the parents.
Glad that he finally pleaded guilty to the kidnapping and murder. Is this Alford plea already agreed upon before he admitted guilt or can the prosecutor or Judge not accept it and demand a trial?
Why wait a whole two whole months before the sentencing? What's to stop him from committing suicide or something?
He's admitted his guilt in two charges, and admitted that he knows there's enough evidence to convict him of the other two, so he is now guilty in the eyes of the law and of the People of the State of Kentucky.
If he wants to pronounce his own sentence of death, I say, let him. The State of Kentucky won't have to house, feed, clothe, guard, and give him free medical care for the next however many years.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
