CHARLESTON, WV - The Kentucky State Police is asking for the public's help in the search for a missing Carter County, Kentucky man. Paul Clifton Sigman, 30, has been missing since Dec. 1. Police received a report on Dec. 3 and began looking into the case. Police were told that Sigman left his home and was last seen walking in the area of Stump Run Road in Grayson, Kentucky. Family and friends say he went for a walk and never returned home. They also say it’s not like him to not call his family, or miss work.

KSP says the Department of Emergency Management was contacted and multiple searches have been conducted in the area.

A friend tells WSAZ the several personal items were found during one of the searches. The items included his pack of cigarettes, his Mountain Dew bottle and his gloves.

The Grayson Mechanic's brother, Eric Sigman, said family members and friends found Clifton's cigarettes, gloves and Mountain Dew bottle at a nearby outbuilding. The two had recently had an argument. "Brothers do argue," Eric Sigman said, "He's left for an half an hour or hour before, but always came right back.

Danny Lee Master, a friend of Clifton Sigman is concerned about his well-being. "We've searched up and down these ditch lines and culverts, searched everywhere and can't find him. This is not like him and we've got a bad feeling about this," said Master...

Family and friends say Clifton wasn't really a woods man, and that he couldn't cope with the wilds and weather for nine days.

I hope nothing bad happened to him. Did he have a cell phone to call a friend to come and pick him up?

I hope Clifton is found soon. He has been missing for so long.

A Carter County man has been missing since last year, but his family has not given up hope. A discovery made Sunday could be a big clue in what happened to Clifton Sigman.

September 1st will be 9 months since 30-year-old Clifton Sigman went missing. On Sunday, several people came out for the 3rd public search in hopes of finding him.

Animal bones, if I'm reading that right.

Missing for 9 months and this was only the 3rd organized search. How sad. Whatever his past may have been, he deserves better than that.

Carter County family hopes for answers one year after loved one vanishes

http://www.wsaz.com/home/headlines/Carter-County-family-hopes-for-answers-one-year-after-loved-one-vanishes-359093561.html

Almost a year after their loved one went missing, a family is making a plea for answers.

Clifton Sigman, from Carter County, was 30 years old when he vanished last December.

Since that time, little clues have been found here and there, but Sigman's location is still a mystery.

Mullannix said she believes they are on the right track.

"We feel that we're closer to him now than we were six months ago," she said.

So far, they've found what they believe are his boots, gloves and cigarettes.

They also said there's been no activity on his cell phone, bank account, or Facebook page.

"Someone knows what happened," Mullannix said.

Kentucky State Police said they don't believe the disappearance is suspicious.

Mullannix said she thinks it is.
