This is shaping up to be one of those trials where you just have to let it happen and then when it's all done, check in for the outcome.

I sure hope if they aren't letting us in on the proceedings in real time that it helps ensure a conviction that sticks this time. I want to know, but do not want to infringe on her right to a fair trial (which, sorry to say I believe she already got) and the state's right to secure justice for Ryan.

I agree with what you are saying. It is not my way of following a trial by waiting and reading tweets. Especially if the tweets are not in real time. It is like watching paint dry. I wonder how long they expect this retrial to last.

I have not seen a tweet since before lunch. That 2 1/2 hr tape has lasted a long time. I would have thought they took a break by now, since they can't tweet inside the courtroom.

My guess when the trial is over, the jury takes the same amount of time to reach a verdict as the jury in the Dalia Dippolito trial. Less than an hour.

Was it murder or self-defense? Shayna Hubers' retrial will ask jurors to answer that question once more as they hear her account and others of Ryan Poston's 2012 shooting death.

Assistant Prosecutor Kyle Burns called Poston's shooting an execution in Tuesday's opening arguments. Defense attorney David Eldridge countered that Hubers shot her former boyfriend out of fear he'd hurt her.

Jurors will have to sort through dozens of witnesses and evidence, including Hubers' own statement to police.

I don't believe she's ever expressed any remorse for what she did. Even if she believes her own *advertiser censored*-a-doo-dee story about self defense, one would think she would have some remorse over killing Ryan. But she simply doesn't have any.

The last jury didn't buy her domestic violence story and didn't feel sorry for her so now she's hoping this jury will feel sorry for her because she didn't enjoy her sex life? Ho boy.

I don't believe her self-defense story either or the sex garbage. Just like JA changing her defense strategy it didn't help one bit in the jury's decision.

I think that police investigation video tells enough about what Shayna was up to and what she is like. That will seal the deal for her. I tried finding that video last night and I couldn't find a good source for it. I will try again later today.
