Angela Ricci was a good friend of mine. She committed suicide last year.

Her husband Richard Ricci was accused of kidnapping Elizabeth Smart. He was imprisoned and interrogated until his head literally exploded. He suffered a brain aneurysm and died. All the while the world convinced he kidnapped Elizabeth Smart.

The good news is Elizabeth Smart was found alive. The bad news is Richard died an innocent man and no one believed him. Angela Ricci suffered a great deal for the rest of her life. In ways that no one can imagine. So much pain she took her own life.

The reason for my long winded post is because of this case I am wary to jump in and say someone is guilty unless I am certain. I have seen first hand the damage that can be done to innocent people.

Is there really a cell phone tower on the island that could ping on Terri's cell phone? According to Dr. Phil yesterday, there is not a cell phone tower so the "ping" is false.

Can anyone verify this? Drives me crazy when someone says something this explosive without any evidence to back it up.

The thing about the cell towers, from what I can deduce, is that Terri is playing a game of semantics with Dr. Phil. While there may not be a cell tower on the island (as of 2009 there wasn't), I don't believe LE has ever said that a tower ON the island recorded the ping.

As the criminal investigation proceeds, so does a search and rescue operation. Its nerve center is in a small room down the hall from the war room. If I understand correctly Terri claimed to have been driving around one area but her cell phone pinged in a completely different area. I am understanding correctly?

He wasn't lying, he was mistaken. Witness accounts are often notoriously faulty. In the Robert Manwill case, there were dozens of "witnesses" of all ages who insisted they saw the little boy after the time it was later proven he was deceased.

I don't think a minor abducted or killed Kyron. I'm glad to know, though, that other WSers remember Robert Manwill.

My recollection is that your understanding is correct.

Here is Terri's stated timeline, from Wikipedia:

Horman's statements to the police indicate that, after leaving the school at 8:45 a.m., she ran errands at a local grocery store until about 10:10 a.m. Between 10:10 a.m. and 11:39 a.m., she states that she drove her daughter around town in an attempt to use the motion of the vehicle to soothe the toddler's earache. Horman went to a local gym at 11:39 a.m., and worked out until about 12:40 p.m. By 1:21 p.m., she had arrived home and posted photos on Facebook of Kyron at the science fair earlier that morning.[5]
At 3:30 p.m., Horman, her husband Kaine Horman, and their daughter, Kiara, walked to the school bus stop to meet Kyron.

IIRC She stated she went to the Fred Meyer off of Cornelius Pass road, south of Hwy 26, for baby cough syrup (or something like that). And some WS'er please fact check me but wasn't there a receipt? I haven't followed this case for quite a while and I'm rusty on the details.

Just to be clear, what I do know is that Sauvie Island is in the opposite direction of where she claims she was. There IS a Fred Meyer in Scapoose, but that would be way out of her way, especially from the school. ETA and 8-10 miles from Sauvie Island.

Also I watched this Dr. Phil interview with a friend of mine who lived in the city of Portland until he was in his late 20s. I'm going to ask him to brainstorm regarding the case. (Local's POV)....

I just felt sick watching Terri......Something is amiss. She strikes me as being .....reptilian & "touched in the head.". Just my observation.

I'm from the area. I wish I could give some insight. I moved 4 years ago, but spent my life there before. I've been glued to this case since that day. I know the area well.

We're going to FaceTime tomorrow evening so I can pick her brain.

I have a couple of questions.

I would like to know if the backyard and the property at the Horman home (which is approx 3-4 acres), has ever been searched with cadaver dogs and if not, why? I know that MCSO used SAR dogs there early on in their search efforts for Kyron, but didn't use cadaver dogs.

I would like to know more about the emails that Terri sent to friends stating her hate for Kyron. Kyrons parents have told the media that they've seen/read these emails, but the emails were never released to the public.

In late May-June 2010, there was a photo that Terri posted on her Facebook wall of her daughter K standing beside a large, light blue, Rubbermaid tote sitting on their front porch. Terri said the tote was used for recycling soda cans. This photo was recent, just a couple of weeks before Kyron went missing. I would like to know if that light blue Rubbermaid tote was ever accounted for by LE after Kyron went missing?

I'm not ready to say Terri Horman is guilty of anything yet.

Hoping you can answer some questions for me.

*Dr. Phil stated the so-called cell phone ping on the island is not possible since there are no cell phone towers on the island.
Is this correct?

*No emails/text messages of Terry Horman saying nasty things about Kyron have never been seen. Kyron's mom and dad did not provide the proof of any mean text/emails.
Do these text/emails actually exist? Have they ever been seen by anybody?

*I thought Terri and her friend met up on the day Kyron went missing. Did that really happen?

Finally, did Terri say anything that can be proven was an out and out lie?

There is nothing new that can be gleened from the Dr. Phill interview. It was fluff. Forget softballs, he was throwing cotton. He neglected to ask any of the more important questions and basically made no statments, and only asked and allowed Terri to confirm, denie, or comment.
I have been following this case since the beginning.
Terri did have a reciept for the 1st Fred Myers for baby caugh syrup witch does not coorispond to the story she told about stopping at two location because she could not find what she was looking for at the 1st witch per her was baby cough syrup! Also an aquantance of hers named Andrea Leckey reported running into her at the 1st Fred Myers where Terri proceeded to show her pictures of Kyron and the sceince fair. Leckey said this struck her as unusual as they had never spoken more than briefly and she had only said high to be polite as they were passing, when Terri proceeded to go into her wherabouts earlier taht morening while holding her sick baby. A grounds keeper at the school reported within days of the dissapearence that he passed the Hormans white truck on a gravel road leading out to the soccer field where he was headed to cut grass and that there was a female adult sitting in the truck that was not Terri. No one at the school can confirm seeing Terri after about 8:15, also class did not start until 10am, she took the pic in the classroom, and per the teacher and a teachers aid, terri said kyron had a dr apt that day and only wanted to come and see the projects. There is no video evidence of Terri at either Fred Myers although per whitness account they can place her at the 1st one. Terri has told several different versions of the timeline including spending about 20 min in parking lot at FM trying to get the baby to sleep before driving around. Adding length of time at school and stores by 5 and 10 min in story after story as athorities pressed her about it not adding up. During this exact span of time her best friend and some believe accomplace in the disapearance was missing from work for a period of 3 hours and supposedly was gardening near the Horman resadence. Employees at this persons place of employment said it was incredibly out of charactor for her to be missing for any length of time period, and furthermore even more so to be unavailable by phone. This person also left her vehicle at work and immediatly got a lawer and has never cooperated with the police from the beginning. Fact: only days before Kyron went missing, Terrie's 15 yo son was kicked out of the house by Kaine and went to live with Terri's parents due to conflict between he and Kaine. Terri said Kaine was hard on him and she also complained non stop to several people at her gym throughout the days pryor about the fact that she was raisign Kyron, expressed her anamosity towards Kaine and Kyron. As for the gardener, he had no reason as far as I can tell to make up a story about the murder for hire. Terri did not actually offer him money, but told him Kaine always carried 10,000 cash on his person and that if he would kill him and make it look like a mugging he could have the money. The cell tower was not on the island, witch is not an island but a peninsula, and there is a tower just off I-30 right next to it. The white truck was spotted by a whitness parked off the side of the road leading to the island.

Terri doesn't even have the character to take the blame for someone else. Not even her son. She puts herself first, always.

James really never needed an alabi, but he was confirmed to be with at shool that morning and the rest of the day during the time Kyron went missing. The only time James has been mentioned as a possibility is in sosial media by people with no basis to do so at all.

I've always been confused by the murder for hire thing too. As I understand it, LE wired the gardener and sent him to talk to Terri. She was suspicious, so LE did not get any type of proof. Hence, there were never any charges filed. The whole thing was hinky, and I was never sure what to believe.

Throught this Dr. Phill interview, I caught neumerous lies that Terri Horman or Claire Stella Sullivan as she changed her name in 2014, told compared to what is known.
Sanchez was not in the country illegally and therefore had no reason to fear deportation.
LE did attempt to record Terri, using Sanchez but she was suspisious and caught on and called 911 telling LE someone was at ther door demanding ten thousand dollars.
Terri also lied about her fried who athorities thought may have been involved saying " she still supports me" I can not confirm that this is the case, but years ago it was reported that what little she innitially told police was not positive about Terri, yet she did defend her in short exchanges with members of media. It was reported long ago that this is the rason they have not spoken in years.

Thanks. Yes, I agree that all of those areas have been searched multiple times with SAR and some with cadaver dogs. Kyrons mother has repeatedly said to the media for years that the Horman property was never searched with cadaver dogs..only just the SAR dogs.

As far as the Rubbermaid tote, the photo was posted by TMH on her FB on May 27, 2010. Kyron went missing June 10, 2010.
In all of the news footage of their home in the days after Kyron went missing, that Rubbermaid tote was no longer shown sitting on the porch.

Why would TH tell Desiree I just want you to know that I loved (past or present tense) your son? Why would she assume that Kyron was gone? Why not I hope he is found soon? Why assume someone took him? Why not assume that he wandered outside to look for frogs or something similar? Why would she even need to tell Desiree that at all? It's assumed as a step parent that she loves or loved Kyron. Did Terri feel that Desiree didn't think she loved Kyron? It goes without saying that a parent or step parent loves their kids. To make that statement is to remove doubt in another person. Why was there doubt?

I believe Terry said she was looking for baby Tylenol, can't remember the exact brand but was pulled from the shelves at the time, and went to the second FM looking for it. We were never told what she bought at the 1st FM but she produced a receipt time stamped 9:12.
Terry saw Andrea Lackey at the 2nd FM on Walker road inside the store and the baby was with her, that's when the pic. of Kyron was shown to her.
One day after his first account, Dave Stensen, turf specialist, reported that he left the school field via access road, between 8:45 and 9:00am. He states for certain he sees no white truck near the head of the access road. He cannot attest for sure to the fact that the truck was not further east on the street, as suggested in LE position. If he left closer to 9:00am, then would have missed the truck in either position entirely.

Did Terri take a dry run the day before? I heard her say "I did the exact same thing the day before" when they were talking about her driving around with babyK. Was that the only other day she drove around in that forest trying to get her daughter to sleep? It just hit me wrong.

It appears to me, and I apologize if I'm wrong, that your post was done from recollection, as I saw not one source quoted, annotated or cited. I saw no links to back up your assertions. I am going to respectfully ask that, in the future, when making claims like that, to please back them up with links to credible sources so we can form our own opinions. I, too, have followed the case from the beginning, and spotted some discrepancies right away even with my faulty memory.
As for the MFH plot, I have nothing to say about that, how it went down or what RS's citizenship status is (or isn't). I don’t recall the particulars about it, so if you have a link, please feel free to post it and I will read it.
I stopped following this case after about three years because the focus of the case shifted away from Kyron and onto the divorce, because I thought the way LE was handling the case was a disservice to Kyron and because of the nonfactual vitriol and sheer hatred being spewed by commenters bashing Terri. One of the reasons why I've stayed away from this discussion on WS was because I noticed a slant against Terri, even if veiled. The only reason I'm posting now is because I want Tricia to hear from someone who is not convinced that Terri did it (yet) based on what has been released to the public by LE. I appreciate that she revealed that she knows firsthand how detrimental and damaging false accusations can be and that they can utterly destroy an innocent person's life. I only wish more people would take that to heart because then they make think twice before typing some of the things they do. I personally know what it's like to be telling the truth and have your integrity stomped on in a court of law. I know what it’s like not being believed. It sucks. It’s one of the reasons I'm not jumping on Terri Did It bandwagon just yet. I’m not willing to condemn Terri without real evidence that results in an arrest. Sure, she should be scrutinized, but she’s been the target of a witch hunt for 6 years now and she’s not even a POI. Thank you, Tricia, for sharing your story about your friends
