I kind of doubt we would hear anything other than "James gave his deposition today" I think we won't hear about details until it goes to trial. UNLESS some piece of information that is given leads to Kyron.

It's really hard to tell what we'll find out and what we won't unless someone is well versed in civil court procedures for Multnomah County. Oregon is one of the few states that gives a lot of power to legislate their own counties and cities. I took a class on governmental procedures for cities in Oregon and am verifying myself to make this statement.

This article clears it up (if it's correct of course, I don't think we've seen the actual filing):

In a filing on Tuesday, Bunch said the investigation is moving forward: A grand jury continues to meet, and police have conducted interviews in Oregon and California in recent months.

As for the California interviews...obviously somebody police are interested in could have moved to California. Also, Terri lived in California until she was 12 and it's interesting to remember that Kaine had a California Fourth of July trip planned for just him and Kyron when Kyron went missing.

As I recall Kaine had family in the Sacto area. They had been there for a visit, I remember seeing facebook photos on Terri's page.

James has been living with Terri and her parents right? I hate to be pessimistic, but I just don't see anything helpful coming out of a depo from him. I'm sure he has been thoroughly prepared. Hope I'm wrong.

I don't expect a whole lot from James either but I think it's just one of many depositions that are ahead. They'll be calling all her friends, her parents, any employees who can verify her on store surveillance etc. Surely they won't all take the 5th? :waitasec: Maybe it'll all be for naught but I sure think it's worth a shot at this point.

I just don't see this leading to Kyron's whereabouts. Maybe Terri will be held responsible in a civil case, but as I don't see anyone confessing to having had knowledge this whole time, I fear the outcome won't be there, i.e. no Kyron. Maybe she will go to jail, even prison, at some point, but I doubt she will ever talk, if guilty, and no one will believe her unless she does confess.

Gwenabob,

I found this in the database today:

Young Desiree/Horman Terri Multnomah 10/13/12 12:00 ICMC INIT CASE MGMT CONF 120606956 Hearing Status Check

Could you possibly explain what it all means? I look forward to your response. Thank you!

Great find, Helenstreet!

If you google 'ICMC INIT CASE MGMT CONF' you'll get a result that explains it. I am guessing this is the initial judicial meeting to start the case.
First google result (from a court) "The initial meeting with the judicial officer is called an Initial Case Management Conference (ICMC)."

Right here. I came across one of those just the other day at work and called the court to find out what it meant. It is simply a tickler put in at the beginning of the case to remind the clerks to check the status of a case. It means nothing to anyone but court workers.

Gwen, if you're out there, do you still think the October 13 date is just a reminder for the clerks? Has anything else been scheduled now that the depositions have started. Thanks so much for enlightening us! :rocker:

OT- Hi guys, sorry for the off topic but I thought I would bring this here because many of you are in the Portland area. Deanna is missing and is thought to be in the Cornelius/Portland area with a 35 year old guy she met on the internet. Details can be found at links. If you would share this on your facebooks and keep an eye out for her, I would be grateful ♥

Important to remember about judge calling Terri Horman a "prime suspect". It doesn't change investigation. No arrest. Kyron still missing

via @KyleIboshi twitter - he also had a report on the 4pm local news

In reference to KOIN's request for confirmation on Kantor's statement, calling Terri a suspect, his office responded with this phrase: "The document speaks for itself."

Moving from 'person of interest'

Until now, Terri Moulton Horman has only been called a "person of interest" in Kyron's 2010 missing person's case. Law enforcement has steered clear of calling her a suspect. She was the last known person with 7-year-old Kyron before he vanished from a science fair at Skyline School two years ago
