I am going to read 2nd article in a min. But are you sure this daughter is Donna's daughter and not just his hubbie's? (maybe from previous marriage?) Grandma has different surname, so that could be his mum not Donna's? So far I have not seen anywhere reference that Donna had children but yes, almost nothing has been published about her over the years so it would be possible.

Is there 2nd part to that article? So you were correct in explaining other meaning of word lounge...

I think this is very important information to the case of missing Donna O'Banion, that her hubby was not just member but a leader of motorcycle gang. It could point to searches for her, places or manner of her demise.

Just to add: It is also not mentioned how Donna was coming or going to work. If she drove or if someone was driving her/picking her up.

That appears to be all there is to the article (even though there is not a clear period at the end of the last sentence).

And I agree that I think the second meaning of lounge as a topless dance club may apply in this case. Maybe we can research more on the name of the place Donna was working? I find the info on her husband very relevant because her disappearance may have been due to a rival motorcycle gang-- or the same type of argument that got her husband killed. JMO.

Yes, I am sure that the Barbara mentioned is Donna's mother quoted in the article from when she went missing. She married several times. I found her Social Security death record which lists all her prior surnames. It gives both the surname from the above article and the surname from the article reporting on Donna's disappearance as well as Donna's previous last name of Dooley which her mother also had at one point.

Brilliant. Thank you for confirmation and checking all this. Just little advice, keep all this external info/links somewhere for your and others future reference when needed. I know when I am checking million things its hard to find them again and confirm the same details months later.

So we are hundred percent sure now that it is her hubby. It still does not confim though that it was also Donna's child not just his? Which would be good for DNA sake if she was.

I have little extra info, not much but might be relevant. Will post in a min.

Sons of Silence Motorcycle Club (SOSMC)

The Sons of Silence's logo is an American eagle superimposed over the letter "A" (similar to, and taken from, the Anheuser-Busch logo) flying under an arch and their motto is "donec mors non separat ", Latin for "until death separates us". The logo a patch that is sewn on the back of each full members vests.

a bit better link https://www.onepercenterbikers.com/sons-of-silence-mc-motorcycle-club/

Donna has a tattoo of an eagle on her right shoulder blade and a tattoo of a sun, a cloud and a lightning bolt on her upper right arm.

It would not surprise me if her eagle tattoo was similar or exact to their logo (maybe without letters). She was after all leaders wife...

I believe strongly that she is Donna's daughter based on the article calling Donna's mother, her grandmother. Her grandmother/Donna's mother, filled the lawsuit on her behalf because Donna's Daughter was not an adult in 1994. She would have been a young child when Donna went missing. There is address evidence as well that seems to to indicate Donna's mother may have helped raise the daughter. They both moved to another state and same city only a few years after Donna went missing. Donna's NAMUS file says "DNA Status-- Initial Inquiry under way". That could indicate that investigators may have already had contact with her daughter to attempt to get DNA.
I think I have found Donna's father now as well (or at least I found the man her mother married with Donna's last name Dooley). Her father died in 2004.

Found an article from 27 Oct 1985:
attachment.php

That gives her address at the time as 5986 Stumberg Lane.
It also has mother's name which may be helpful.

I am a bit ticked off at myself that I have not spotted error/typo in location on Charley project and waisted quite some time looking for non existent Airport Highway. Thanks to the newsarticle above I noticed it is completely different location, not close to airport but opposite direction...

So, not Airport Hwy but correct place where Donna disappeared from is Airline Hwy in Prairieville, suburb of Baton Rouge.

From numerous articles that part of Airline is known for many strip clubs and someone mentioned in 2008 that Sons of Silence members frequent those strip clubs till that day.

Approximate location on map between Donna's home and area where she worked/ disappeared from (15 min drive)

Awesome info! I did not notice that detail either. I tried a little bit to find The Southern Comfort on Airport HWY but could not find anything and thought maybe that was because it no longer exists. Its because I was looking on the wrong street.
A place by that name still exists today: https://www.manta.com/c/mm0d4yw/southern-comforts-gentlemens-club
That business license link says it opened in 2000 but I think it could be the same place because the name and general location is the same. Maybe new owners took over in 2000?

I came over that link some time ago and also some other very similar sounding but none of them I could confirm where there in 1985.

From looking at that part of Airway hwy there have been quite a few murders there over the years, especially in parking lots of strip clubs/lounges.

Airline Hwy is the old main highway that runs from New orleans to BR.

to answer some questions asked here.she did work at a topless place. it was kinda out in the country. she did not drive and always needed rides home lot.she and he were married and had a little girl name samantha.she was very young when donna went missing. rumor had it that she had gone to florida with some guy..i didnt know what to think because i never ever heard any news at all about her disappearing ..not a word... only from him...he said they were doing a sweep of the area out where that bar was...he also told me he thought she went to florida..so i believed that.and i have often wondered how she was thru the years, and recently i was thinking about her alot...so i googled her name and saw her on the missing sites..broke my heart. now this is haunting me. i want to find her and get her to her family. she was from georgia originally..sweet girl...i didnt know he filed for the seperation.kinda crazy.if she would of taken a ride from some guy from work,it was pretty dark and rural, and anything could of happened, but on the same token ..her hubby didnt seem so worried..i dont know where to even start with this
