Men and women dressed in hunting gear and waders combed the area in southeast Livingston Parish with first responders in hopes of locating Peter Pedeaux, who was last seen Sunday night near Blood River Road, according to family and law enforcement.

Deven Pedeaux said his nephew went missing in the woods around 10:30 p.m. Sunday after going to his friend's house on Blood River Road to fish.

The uncle said he believes Peter Pedeaux may have gotten lost on an adventure in the flooded forest. He's holding out hope the 19-year-old found a place to shelter through two of the season's coldest nights.

I've been seeing people share posts on social media about him. It's been below freezing...that worries me.

I also saw a relative on social media say that his friends did not all have matching stories. I hope he is found soon, and safe.

Wednesday's search for missing teen comes up empty, continues

The search for a missing 19-year-old in Livingston Parish is growing more dire.

A Facebook post by Pedeaux’s family says the latest search turned up no sign of the teenager, but they will go out again Thursday.

Before crews left, Pedeaux’s family offered an emotional thanks for those who showed up to help, and a heartbreaking plea to everyone.

“If anybody's out there and you know anything to please just contact me or my husband and police. We just want him to come home,” said Pedeaux’s mother Betty Pedeaux.

Thinking of Peter and his family. I do hope he is found safe, but some of the comments on the Sheriff's post are alarming.

So sad. RIP Peter

Since his friends stories didn't sound right, I'd be curious to find out what really happened to Peter.

.Family members said his friends offered conflicting reports to investigators about how he vanished,
An autopsy was ordered to determine Pedeaux’s cause of death.

I’ve been following this story locally. So tragic. Although foul play is not suspected, I’m wondering about the friends’ stories not matching up (according to the Pedeaux family): impairment? Prank gone too far?

Yes, I was wondering the same Elle*Bee. I haven't "seen" their stories in any of the articles that were posted here.

Anyone know "what" their stories are? Just curious! :)

RIP Peter :candle:

Man, just read the update on social media. Tears aren't a great way to start the day. My heart hurts for his family...

*If* his friends were involved in any way I hope this haunts them forever. Even if they didn't kill him, their stories not adding up or matching just is NOT right. I don't think he just accidentally wandered off - or else they would all pretty much say that.

Looks as if law enforcement should have done a better investigation with the tools the internet provides for free. There is a photo of him "dabbing" and doing hash at the site his body was found. I think family also tried to whitewash troubles they knew he had.

If correct, that might explain why the friends’ stories didn’t match up.

RIP Peter🥀

Dabbing? What is this? I assume drugs of some sort, but what kind? The kind that kill you?
