Ok, so I have been in the Maplegate house a long time ago. My best friend lived next door and her parents and the Millard's were friends. I was hanging out around Christmas one time and Mr. Millard arrived at the door and invited everybody over for some Christmas Cheer. My friend and I went along.

From what I recall, the house was lovely. Very classy, classic, expensive furnishings and spotless. I don't recall seeing anyone other than Mr. Millard.
Apparently that changed big time. I wonder what happened?

I thought we would hear something about this yellow toolbox.

So, there was more than one? Because the one from the TB trial was foung at MS house, IIRC.

Yes I noticed that also. Must have been a two for one sale at the hardware store. A box for hand guns and one for drugs.

The next witness will get to that toolbox as this officer is giving computer/electronic evidence. MOO.

Two things,

1) "Michalski said he gathered drugs from the house, put them in a backpack, put it in the trunk of his car and parked his car on the street."

Could the roots bag be considered a backpack? Did they ever ask the color?

2) Dual citizenship - Didn't his mom use the English expression for a rabbit burrow in a text to DM?

BBM IIRC the backpack was blue.

Questioning the delivery guy makes total sense as a process of investigation. but putting him on the stand to testify about what amounts to really nothing doesn't. But as Matou pointed out, there will likely be evidence that is mattress related and this is Crowns way of saying its not the mattress taken away by the delivery guy... because he didn't take one.

I think you're right. We may be scratching our heads as to why some of these people are testifying, but as we saw with the escort clients, the Crown is making sure there is no "out" and no other explanation. They are eliminating every possible person and angle to show it could only lead to two people, the two in the court room.

Hopefully we will hear more about the mattress, but it’s always possible we’ll have another piece of evidence like the hoses in the TB trial. Something offered elliptically, with no further context.

Millard was by himself when he came into the store, Bassi says. He saw Millard one other time, to sell him another mattress.

Bassi believes the next time #Millard came to buy a mattress he was with a younger man, maybe in his 20s, he says. After July 2012

Oct 21, 2012, #Millard bought another mattress from Sleep Country. Queen sized, with box spring.

BBM The one mattress was very close to the death of LB, but the second mattress wasn't that far off the death of WM. Strange timing, I guess.

Where are the drawer pulls/handles in the kitchen??

I'm sure the house was nice once. IMO, DM has no respect for anything, and his inner circle seems the same. His house is a mess, the vehicle he was driving was a mess and totally ripped apart, he seemed to be running down his family's business, he got his machinery stuck in the pond and left it, he took people's property and lives with no regard. Look at MS and CN, their rooms were a mess, they seemed to have no respect or regard for others as well. Very telling.

Oh my gosh - I totally missed that......I bet you're right.....we don't need to see that.....MOO

No, if you go to the gaming website you can still see DM's profile pic. IMO, I'm also guessing it will be shown in court for the next trial.

Falconer takes us through the backups he found on Millard's computers:

On the first computer:
Dell's iPhone x3
Mark's iPad

On Millard's second computer:
Andrew's iPhone

On Millard's third computer:
Rubix's iPhone

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but IMO, it seems strange to have your friend's phones backed up to your own hard drive. Could it be as a blackmailing tool to keep everyone in line and quiet? Again, maybe I'm just reading too much into it LOL

My opinion is that the Judge is not asking these technical questions for his own consumption. There are lots of courses he could take if he wanted to learn, and Justice Michael Code will be fully aware that a courtroom is not a classroom for the judiciary. Wouldn't surprise me that he knows the answers to every technical question he has asked, after all, he is a lawyer.

Him "feigning ignorance" and asking these questions, and getting answers to clarify, ensures that anyone on the jury who is not totally literate in these matters will fully comprehend, and be able to properly digest and make use of the digital forensics evidence in a knowledgeable manner.

IMO, this is for jury consumption. Smart move on Justice Michael Code's part

IIRC this in not the first time the judge has asked a witness to expand or simplify electronic evidence for easier understanding, implying it was he who wasn't understanding. IIRC it had something to do with the cell phone evidence...tracking and towers, evidence given by the Rogers Communication witness. MOO.

The judge is having a hard time understanding this computer stuff, he says. Wonders if there is a simpler way to explain.

They all spent a lot of time at WM's house, AM lived there and CN spent a lot of time there including sleeping there. They had SL's ipad and MS probably didn't have a computer at his mother's house. He probably didn't know how to reformat it either. MOO.

From his Steam account, it looks like he was friends with "rubiKinks"(CN?), and "stealthmission1"(AM based on today's tweets?)

The "stealthmission1" account went inactive the day before "DIR3N33DS" did. Two other 'friends' went inactive near the same time: "3thumbS" and "lightgamerpc", anyone have a guess on their identities?

I still find it strange that DM last played on Steam on May 6, 2013 same day as TB was murdered.

Considering the amount of electronic information recovered for all three cases was at one time deemed as the largest amount ever in a case in Ontario, you'd think a tech savvy judge would have been a more appropriate assignment here. At least I hope his efforts to simplify things for himself is helpful to any jury members who also may not be tech savvy.

MOO

I studied under prof/justice Code at UofT. He is very tech savvy. Like many of the "jokes" he has made during this trial I imagine he was "opening the floor" for the jury to feel comfortable asking clarifying questions later on. As he taught us, and many on this thread have proven, the layman juror may make horrible decisions that ruin an accused life because they watch CSI and thus consider themselves an expert regardless of what those actually educated in the field direct their attention to.

Edit: For better or for worse, Code was part of the Homolka deal. I could not think of a more fitting judge to be sitting on this trial considering the obvious comparisons one could make.

Just googled again to look at the "Rubikinks" Joker's Girlfriend photo. Disgusting. How is it that she is not being tried for LB's murder with her two "joker" friends. I feel revulsion for her. Despicable human, or not? She resembles a psychopath just like her bf, which if correct, makes her consciousness - in the professional circles that discuss psychopaths - it is often spoken that psychopaths are less than human. Without Conscience. Along that vein, if you research on narcissist psychopaths, one of their key relationship tools is something called "triangulation". They do things to arise suspicion and jealousy. They drag talk of their "crazy ex's" and how much they still want them to incite jealous fighting amongst the current and ex partners - it is the ultimate in narcissistic supply for them. I hope he is convicted and deemed a dangerous offender and viewed as the serial killer he is and CN, the Karla Homolka like "gf" that she plainly is. IMO

Hopefully this isn't too much of a rant. I don't know how much more of this trial I can take. I am new here. Didn't know anything about the case but a vague memory of the kijiji missing person. When I came across the trial, I couldn't look away. I felt by following it closely, it was in some small way, a way to provide respect for those that have lost their lives to these monsters. Thanks to everyone for the respectful and clean posting here. A safe online haven - rare indeed. My apologies if my post has crossed any lines. The accused and his minions are so absolutely disgusting to me. Rest in peace Laura, Tim and the father of convicted killer DM.

BBM Sorry, I'm not familiar with the Harley Quinn character, I know she's a villain, but what is she like? What does she do?

I still find it strange that DM last played on Steam on May 6, 2013 same day as TB was murdered.

DM and MS didn't show up at the Bosma's property until just before 9:30 that night so he had all day to play games. Oh wait, he did the norm of sleeping until noon, then maybe cleaned himself up, made himself some Campbells Chunky, drove to Oakville to pick up DM...that would have given him only five or six hours for gaming...oh bother. :gaah::maddening: MOO.

My thoughts on the mattress are that something in texts will explain his rush to get a new bed so fast.

Like it's been explained by the officer who took photos of the house, there were many bedrooms and presumably (my thinking), many other places to sleep in the house if DM had to wait 3 days for his new mattress.

So what was his rush? Was it his bed that the mattress was for and he needed quick turn around time so as to not raise any questions with CN or someone else about where his mattress went? By the sounds of what the Sleep Country employee said today, DM had only bought his bed two years prior. That isn't a normally mattress replacement timeframe, IMO.

Will this end up like SS ordering a windshield removal tool a day or so after Tim went missing? Sure it could be a normal purchase but it is all about when that purchase was made and why was it made with urgency.

Sorry if this is jumbled. It is all my own thoughts.

IMO, I still feel like DM used LB one more time and overpowered her and shot her either during sex or while she was sleeping.
