Was Jodi supposed to go to Cancun with Travis? Sources tell HLN senior producer Selin Darkalstanian says Jodi was booked on that now infamous Cancun trip until Travis changed his mind and decided he wanted to take Mimi Hall instead.

Not a bit surprising. Jodi was not going to allow Travis to go to Cancun without her. She got herself ready for the trip and bought suntan lotion in preparation for her vacation. She had plan A and plan B. Plan A was Travis would take her. Plan B was if she couldn't go, Travis wasn't going either. There is a lot of debate on whether she brought the gun and the knife. I wonder if there was a little truth in the ninja story about the gun jamming. If she wasn't experienced in handling a gun then the knife was her back up. She must have brought the knife too. Pretty sure the whole rope story was a lie and there was no time to run down to the kitchen in that 62 seconds considering the photo timeline. I was in a Wendy's parking lot long ago and there were a couple of guys putting something in their socks. We went into Wendy's and these guys came in, went up to the counter, and you could tell they were looking for someone in particular. They didn't see who they wanted and then they ran out the door and a car drove up and they sped off. We figured out they had plans to stab someone but whoever it was they were very lucky not to be working. We were shaking. It was like something you see at the movies. Maybe as Travis was showering, she put the knife in her sock. Did someone say she had cuts on her ankles?

Sometimes money has little to do with it. We have a psychologist friend who is a great guy but a real patsy. He is easily fooled and taken advantage of. He not only doesn't make much money (he 'no charges' a lot of people) but LOSES money to frauds and charlatans. Some people are just born without a good BS meter.

OTOH there are defense 'experts' who know better but will say or do anything, even unlawful and unethical (viz Dr. Henry Lee in hiding Lana Clarkson's fingernail and others I won't bother to name here) for a fee. I haven't decided where Dr. Samuels fits in but I doubt his career will be over after this trial. After all, worse expert witnesses still have lucrative careers.

I agree, there's nothing even remotely indicating that JA has low self esteem. In fact, she's just the opposite, imo. She is arrogant, believes herself to be superior, and is completely immersed in her own delusions of grandeur. As you say, just look at the photos, look at her demeanor. She is totally into herself, and how wonderful she thinks she is. Not to mention, that a person with low self esteem typically has humility, insight, and a conscience. JA has none of those positive attributes, IMVHO.

Me either, totally off the wall. I really believe that she knew or highly suspected there were cameras. Like she said in the one interview, everything's pretty much "like it is on television", and she probably assumed as much in this case. So I fully believe that she was acting out for the cameras, all of this just for what, the attention? Forget about what happened to Travis, forget about that she is being accused of first degree murder, this parasite only cares about what she can get from others. If nothing else attention will suffice and she doesn't mind behaving like an utter fool to get it. How pathetic is that?

Have a few questions:

1) Has the gun that was used to shoot TA been found? If so, I haven't seen a picture of it.
What kind of gun was allegedly stolen from the grandfather's house? Is it possibly to get a rough estimate of the firing pin of that gun and match it to the casing found at the crime scene?

2) Did TA have .25 ACP ammo in the house? There's back and forth the she brought the gun, and her allegedly using a gun that Travis owns. There is a picture in evidence of .22lr and .22 mag ammo, but where is that picture taken.

3) Does the grandfather have .25 ACP ammo in the house, and if so, does it match the casing found at the crime scene?

4) Do any of the knives found in the house match the profile of the wounds in TA? (In other words, did she bring her own knife? Was she planning on just using the gun?)

5) Are there any side view pictures of the casing? IMO, it would be preferable to shoot TA first as using a knife for the initial attack would be easier for the victim to defend. I understand the casing is on top of blood, but could have been displaced during the altercation. If it was displaced, there may be blood on the sides of the casing in which we can't see from an aerial view. The entry is also angled, right to left downward. Possibly shot when TA was sitting in the shower.

6) Why would there be pictures of him and then apx one minute later the camera is in the hallway during all of this? Did she have the camera in her hand the whole time while stabbing him?

7) There's tassel from a pillow on the staircase, and talk about a knife was used to cut rope. Where is that knife, any rope residue on the knife? and where is the rope?

Yes, and there seems to be nothing behind her eyes -- lifeless, no soul, no sweetness, none of the appealing things we like to see when we look into someone's eyes -- and I don't necessarily mean a love-sex type look, which definitely is a reason to look into a special person's eyes -- I mean the way you can see "something" in there, like when a good friend is smiling or making a joke or talking about his/her grandchild, or telling you a secret or telling you something sad, etc., etc. That special... je ne sais quoi that makes eyes so very special and memorable.... She prolly had it once when she was very young, but I don't think she's had it for a very, very long time. She has lost that along with her soul. JMHO.

Okay, so a good websleuther (ty btw) went to the court house and read the motion in regards to the protection order and it's to supress financial billings submitted by the DT. I bet they didn't want JM to see how much the good doc has submitted so far. ha ha

Shrinking Violet JA...(aka I'm melting) CA did that same lowering of her chair at a certain point in her trial too. Must be the feel sorry for little ole me act. JA has lost weight but hey, if she doesn't bring what the prison offers for lunch, it's her fault only it feels more like her plan to waste away at least until the trial is over. Her hair...that's done like that on purpose. the cold sore, it was just her lucky day, jmo.

Imo one of the worst offenses of today's educational system is to value "self esteem" over behavior so that plenty of criminals have "self esteem."

One of the smartest people I know insists there is "no such thing as a superiority complex." In fact, when I looked up the term just now I see it is a mechanism to cover up feelings of inferiority.

Jodi's handwriting reveals she has low goals, is deceitful and manipulative, dishonest, concerned about her looks and sensitive to criticism. If she has any low self-esteem it is richly deserved, imo.

That really seems to be the case. They asked a lot of premeditation related questions yesterday. And lowering her sentence to murder two would require them believing what she says about Travis. They have indicated that they don't believe anything she says and and that maybe one or two of them think Travis might have been a pretty decent guy.

I agree she isn't even remotely like most people, lol. And she obviously didn't love Travis unconditionally either. Only on the condition that he took her to Cancun :what: And that she didn't move on and chose to butcher him to death instead, had nothing to do with low self esteem. It just shows what a compulsive, psychotic killer she is.
