What is wrong with the cops telling him those truths? He WAS the throwaway guy. And he was going to trial alongside a multi-miilionaire who had the big money to spend on a huge defense team.
What's wrong with telling him the poly machine could tell if he was lying or not? That is basically true. Simplistic version, but generally correct. I think that defense attorney is reaching.
