• Distinguishing Characteristics Asian male. Gray hair, brown eyes. Kamhaz is from Lebanon and moved to the United States more than twenty years before his disappearance; he can speak only Arabic. He is balding and had a gray mustache at the time of his disappearance. He has a black ink tattoo of a woman on his right forearm and he walks with a cane.

Details of Disappearance​

Kamhaz was last seen at his residence on William Allen Drive near Grove and Pleasant Streets in Paxton, Massachusetts at 10:30 a.m. on February 21, 2016. He wandered away and has never been heard from again.

At the time of his disappearance, Kamhaz was relatively high-functioning in spite of his dementia. He had wandered away before, reaching as far as Worcester, Massachusetts, but he's never been gone overnight. An extensive search of the area turned up no indication of his whereabouts. His case remains unsolved.

Death investigation continues after man's body found in Paxton woods

A section of Asnebumskit Road remained closed Sunday as several state and local police vehicles were seen on that stretch of road near the intersection of Route 122.

PAXTON — State police are investigating after a man was found dead Saturday morning in a wooded area on a side street off Route 122.

The incident on Asnebumskit Road is being investigated as an “unattended death,” a spokesperson for the Worcester District Attorney's Office said Sunday morning.

Police have declined to say whether the discovery is related to the 2016 disappearance of Ali Kamhaz, then 88, who went missing from the area.

At the time, he was living with his family at 7 William Allen Drive. A missing person poster for Kamhaz was still pinned on a notice board at the police station, along with that of Marc Daniels, who went missing from Milford in 2017
