Snipped from DA Morrissey's statement & BBM:

The continued investigation has now allowed police to obtain and arrest warrant charging Brian Walshe with the murder of his wife. Mr. Walshe will be transported to the Quincy District Court for arraignment on the charge of murder. Additional details of the investigation and the evidence in support of those charges are likely to be presented at arraignment but will not be disclosed at this time.

I wonder what the additional evidence they have on him is -- I hate to say it, but maybe they found a piece of her body/tissue/significant amount of blood.
I'm speculating some brain tissue matching Ana's DNA was located on the carpet LE found, indicating she was no longer alive.

Sad for her and the children, and glad to see it made official, but I have that sinking feeling in my gut that this is not the end of the story. Very much hoping to be wrong. I don't know what could possibly be coming, but I feel like something is.

Very glad that he finally got charged for AW's murder, even though the body doesn't appear to have been found yet. I understand why no-body cases are tough to prosecute in many cases, and I also understand why they may not be able to find enough evidence against a specific person - even if they strongly suspect them.

-However, this case appears to have a good deal of circumstantial evidence that directly points to this one suspect. I.e. blood/DNA (presumably)/extremely incriminating internet searches/past threats/aggressive & violent behavior, etc. As I've said before, a 5-year old could put the evidence & pieces of the puzzle together here & easily determine what happened.

-As I mentioned in a previous post re: this case, BW should have been in prison/an institution a long time ago - and stayed there. I strongly believe that if his family hadn't been wealthy, he wouldn't have gone free.

An example is that he physically attacked some guards after they tried to detain/question him in China. And, given how serious this was - I don't believe he would have gone free if someone hadn't paid some kind of a steep fine, etc.

Also, I strongly suspect that his family will be paying for an expensive defense lawyer in this case as well.

The DNA results must have come back. Those poor babies. So much loss, at a time of the year when it should be full of family and love makes it even harder.
An incredible tragedy with so many victims.

The children have lost not only their mother who adored them, but they've also lost their father that drove them to school and made them breakfast. They won't be able to fathom that daddy hurt mommy. And two mothers in their late years have both lost their adult children. :(

And knowing what he likely did, BW had the audacity to grin at the camera while entering the court to answer charges of misleading the police investigation, as if he was a celebrity. That's very sick.

IMO, only his father understood how dangerous BW was and took appropriate steps to protect himself from the physical and mental dangers his son was capable of inflicting.

MOO

RIP, Ana. Praying for her children.
TA - Bless the kids and lovely Ana who was so full of hope and looking so forward to better days ahead ❤️
Even tho I had no doubt this arrest would happen - it is always still a punch in the gut when charges are actually brought - so incomprehensible and life altering to all the many who loved her.

Totally agree that only his father truly understood. Perhaps bc he was a neurologist he was able to understand the seriousness of the diagnosis. And yes sooo many victims imo.

Very relieved to see the new charge so there is no chance of this alleged wife killer seeing the light of day again. I agree LE has very solid evidence. They are being very methodical. MOO

Looking forward to an updated thread title. Should reference husband arrested for murder. Should no longer mention an airport IMO. She never had a chance to implement her escape plan for herself and her children.

Having followed several no-body homicides, I'm pleased to tell you that the conviction rate is actually very high. I see no reason to believe otherwise in this case.

I'm also hopeful the prosecutor will be able to admit some evidence from BW's recent fraud crimes as evidence of the length the suspect was willing to go to live his false life. Disappearing Ana was a no-brainer for BW given she could reveal all of his secrets.

No Corpse, No Problem?
Although murder charges without a corpse are rare, nationally, about 86 percent of no-body murder cases that go to trial result in convictions, compared to all murder cases with conviction rates of 70 percent.

Just saw this -- please excuse if it is a repeat. From the Washington Post:

Brian Walshe has been charged with murder in the killing of his wife, Ana Walshe, nearly two weeks after she was reported missing.
Norfolk County, Mass., District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey announced the charges Tuesday.

Ana Walshe was reported missing Jan. 4. Her husband told police that three days earlier, she woke him up, saying she had to fly to D.C. for a work emergency, according to an affidavit obtained by the Boston Globe. He said she kissed him goodbye about 6 or 7 a.m. and told him to go back to sleep.
[...]
“There’s been no large-scale recovery of remains,” said David Traub, a spokesperson for the Norfolk district attorney’s office.
This is a developing story that will be updated.
