Why not???!!! :(

Sure would have liked to hear from at least a couple of them....

But isn't she on probation for 2 years? Does that "agreement" state she has to be "clean", get a job?

:dunno:

That link for necn you posted KaraKitty - said "It is not available right now"....

So, you'll have to do a narrative, or sobreebriedad will have to, since he's there! :D

Niner, it went black for a little bit as they were changing their camera location at the Court house.

And now they are replaying the 'reading of the verdict'.

It's almost like they just went with the middle option like I do on multiple choice when I don't know the answer. Jmo. I hope that isn't out of line. Why not murder 1? Why not manslaughter.?

Okay - then....

See you all back on Wednesday!

No justice for Bella today....

:rose: RIP BELLA :rose:

I really hope someone on the jury speaks out. I need to know how they reached this verdict. My guess is there was a lot of sway in opinion simply from how the judge treated the defense. Horrible judge. And imo, the wrong verdict. I bet RB is cackling to herself over having some chump serve the jail time she should be.

How do appeals work? Does he just get 1? I don't know why I'm thinking that? I really know nothing about appeals. Do they all vary state to state?
I thought death penalty cases would get endless appeals but other cases such as life only 1? Tia

I was a law clerk on the Appeals Court so I know quite a bit about MA appeals (though not other states').

MM is entitled to one direct appeal of his conviction, in which he can challenge the sufficiency of the evidence, evidentiary rulings, and other trial errors. If he loses that one he can bring an unlimited number of motions for new trial (called collateral appeals), but if he tries to litigate issues not raised on direct appeal, they are very likely deemed waived. Collateral appeals are much less likely to be successful than direct appeals, but winning them is not unheard of depending on the issues raised.

Success on direct appeal depends a lot on whether trial counsel raised issues, so he is definitely in a better position than many criminal defendants, having been represented by a lawyer as good as Shapiro,

I think they were interviewing people coming out of the courtroom. I think whdh.com will have some at their broadcast at 12:00

On now
