I totally understand this.

Also, I pray for a good outcome always. However, in horrific tragedies I think there is usually something to learn if for no other reason than to help others in hopes that whatever happened... that it doesn't happen to someone else. And if there is a clear person responsible - to hold them accountable. Tragic things that could have been easily prevented (imo) are the most heartbreaking for me.

Beautiful. Thank you!

Just for a "for what it's worth" input.... I am very used to very cold weather. I live in it. I've gone out to start the car on mornings that were just above zero and I could barely move my hands after a couple of minutes. Ok Im not 22; but still, things happen fast in that kind of cold.

Yes. The sudden "unexpected" in life can certainly catch us off guard.

I want to say something... and I don't know how... (Anyone who knows me will tell you how rare that is lol! )...

I'm really grateful you guys are all here.( and yes I mean you too, Edgar!). I can't really discuss these things with many people in my real life... they don't want to hear it. They find it depressing, macabre even. It's like some of us can tolerate these painful stories, and bear witness, and some of us can't. I just happened to be one of those people who can handle it, and therefore I feel somewhat compelled to do so, I am so glad there you guys are here with me!

Police have been searching Boston’s waterways for days. On Tuesday, they searched near the Museum of Science after police obtained a video that appears to show Marr in the area,

Police told Marr’s family that the video shows Marr disappearing into the water, Matthew Marr, Zachary’s father, told The Boston Globe.

“I just want him home. I just want to get closure,” Matthew Marr told the Globe . “I know that he probably won’t get home . . . but our floodlights will stay on anyway.”

If it was as cold as stated, 9 degrees below zero, what possible reason is there for him to have walked into the water deliberately ? Was this a suicide ?

Hello - I am unclear on this and I am sure someone here knows the answer. If they bounce you, for whatever reason, how do you pay your tab? All people I have seen bounced get escorted to the door and outside by the bouncer. Do they just forget the bill. It seems if they take them first to the bar to pay, he would have a chance to "escape" the bouncer and get his coat, no? Or you could text your friends, while still inside, because the bartender is probably busy, and tell them "help" I'm about to get bounced and don't have my coat. What if you checked your coat and left your wallet in your coat pocket, or told them you did, they would have to get it for you, right. I am not sure of the procedure, does anyone know? Thanks to all. Katt

when i bounced if the person was being uncooperative they would always get taken right outside, at that point if they had a coat check ticket, outstanding bill, or left things inside we would have someone take care of those things for them, the person would never be allowed back inside.

if they were being cooperative we might settle those things first by escorting them where they needed to go and then walk them to the door, but that was rare... because people being asked to leave are rarely cooperative.

there is not enough information to characterize how exactly he ended up in the water, i think people have been reading too much into the language we have heard so far to describe it.

the most likely explanation to me is still that he unexpectedly fell into the water.

(the use of the word "entered" is one example of this confusion, i dont take that word to imply purpose or intent)

This case quite literally hits very close to home for me. I am frequently at the Boston Public Market where Zach was pictured, he "entered the water" minutes from my home right beside a place where I walk several times a week. This is my neighborhood, it has been my neighborhood for over 20 years. I wish it had turned out differently. In the photographs he looks like such a nice young man, such a waste of a life, such a loss to his family and friends.

I think that the wording of "entered the water" or "disappeared " into the water was to avoid saying the words, "fell" or "slipped" or "jumped. " There is a gap in the tracks (see some posts above or on another page here -- there are photos) Apparently there are gaps on the tracks bc it is a drawbridge and perhaps he didn't see the gaping hole and he stepped into it accidently and fell into the water. I can see why they are using careful wording . ...semantics...

I generally am not a big conspiracy theorist, but i still don't fully believe William Hurley ended up in there all on his own...

I will agree on that. I don't think anyone would try to claim drownings are never suspicious. That one certainly is.
