"Plane debris will be analyzed in France next Wednesday"

I guess they don't work weekends no matter what. lol

MH370 could have been on auto-pilot and glided into the sea, instead of a hard landing.

JMO
Its possible.

The fact that we have not seen other pieces of this plane may be an indication that it had a relatively soft belly flop type of landing.

If the pilot had its wing flaps down to slow the landing then the wing flaps could have been ripped off the plane and if it was going slow enough and did a good enough belly flop then maybe this could explain why no other large parts have been found yet.

The wing flap being found could be an indication of a belly flop softer type landing IMO.

I can't believe that it's going to take that long, maybe they want time to notify each family member. Personally I think they already know the answer.

Are they looking at the coast of Madagascar? It's right behind that tiny dot of an island. I would think some items may have floated there.

Good question. I would hope they would be scouring the other shorelines in the area!

Australian authorities yesterday said the discovery of plane wreckage, even if found to be from MH370, would not narrow down the location of the main debris field or solve the mystery of why the jet crashed.

reverse modelling to determine more precisely where the debris may have drifted from was "almost impossible". "After 16 months, the vagaries of the currents, reverse modelling is almost impossible," Truss said. "And so I don't think it contributes a great deal in as far as our knowledge of where the aircraft is located at the present time."

They are sending it to is Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses pour la Sécurité de l'Aviation Civile (BEA; translated as "Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety"). They are top notch= as skilled as our NTSB.

headquarters are at Paris–Le Bourget Airport in Le Bourget, near Paris. The BEA has 120 employees, including 30 investigators and 12 investigative assistants.[SUP][1]

[/SUP][SUP][/SUP] The BEA was created in 1946.[SUP][1][/SUP] I

Following international rules, French authorities are competent for all aircraft accidents occurring in French territory or airspace, as well as accidents involving French aircraft occurring in international space or in other countries if the local authorities do not open a technical enquiry. They may also assist foreign investigation authorities at their request.[SUP][4][/SUP]

those look like pictures from the germanwings crash

I think the idea was that salt water might not have gotten into the bottle if the lid is intact.

The bottle, to me, appears as though it has not been open yet. No one drank out of it.

To me it looks empty.

A couple articles mentioned it was empty.

Since the cap on the bottle was screwed on tightly enough to prevent sea water from getting inside, there really could still be dna on the protected, dry rim. .

Can anyone link any reason why "Intel" today is now saying that it was a deliberate act for sure? what changed in the last 24 hours for them to declare that today??

I haven't watched the recent CNN coverage of it but my guess is their reasoning would be that the only way the plane could have ended in that region would be by an intentional act (otherwise it would have crashed much closer to Indonesia), and they know it was hitting waypoints so seems it was under someone's control. I have no theory on why either pilot would do such a thing, it makes zero sense, heck, I think I'd believe it was hijacked by remote control rather than by airline personnel who wanted to commit suicide/mass murder first.

Maybe because the transponder was deliberately turned off?
