On the up side: he got a night's worth of warm shelter and probably some food the next morning. The judge tossed the case out, so nothing goes on his record.
 
Was he charging his cellphone after hours? I don't get it.

Nah, the cop charged him for "stealing" the power he used in the city owned park to charge his phone. Sounds like a cop with authority issues... I hope the judge blasted the cop for wasting taxpayers time and money.
 
I say give the homeless man a car then arrest him for stealing gas.
