Yeah, I don't think Jersey has been completely ruled out yet. If like the MSM article I read, that he has a friend living directly across from Lisa's house that he visited once in a while, and has an address listed a few doors from Lisa's house, and is a white male who at his booking had on a white t-shirt with a jacket over it (of course days later but he could favor white t-shirts, I happen to know someone who likes to wear them...), and the description from the witnesses was he was in his 30's at least well, he's still on my list, if these are true sightings. The couple does sound believable or at least the wife did speaking for her husband. The motorcycle guy did too. jmo Sorry for my "ands".

I remember you posting about this when it came out Kamille. The word 'perpendicular' stands out in my memory. I seem to remember him being in a car too. Good point about the raw footage.

This is the original article where this witness was interviewed. They show a very short clip of her. In that short clip or the article she does not say anything about being able to see the baby or the man herself.

I watched the video of this witness when it first came out. And I don't think I'm losing my mind just yet but this is nothing like what she first said. I distinctly remember her talking about the husband driving by him on his way to work and he drove off when the man turned into a house. He considered turning around to tell her about it, not sure when she claims he actually did tell her and asked her to call the police. Now she's claiming the husband was standing in their driveway and she was looking out the window? She did say that the man was seen about three or four doors up from somewhere. She just kind of waved her arm to point from where she was standing in the interview. The original report said this man with baby was seen on a street perpendicular to the Irwins. I think her story is changing as badly as DB's. No wonder LE want that raw footage. I'd love to know what they told them?

MOO

I found a story and video of that female neighbour and her explanation. Really confusing story. It's from Oct 4th.

ETA: I see Jenny found it too!

In the HLN interview she said he was walking uphill if that helps clarify anything. She also said she just saw the baby's bare arm and leg. If that's all she saw, the baby could have been wearing shorts and a tshirt.

So - if all that was seen was the baby's bare arm and leg, then could it have been - not a baby at all? There may be some poor guy out there who was walking that night carrying <not-a-baby>, thinking - "Wow, that's where I was!" and wondering how he missed this man carrying a baby.

What she says in the first video and what is written aren't exactly the same. A lot of the reports seem to be twisting words. She did say in the HLN interview that her husband called her after he drove off and asked if she saw the man. She also said the man turned like he was going to a house, I thought that was when her husband drove past him.

I believe the clip has been edited. And if you watch the two clips after that you can see how long they spent interviewing the other two neighbours and then how little they actually showed in their news clips. I'm sure they've got more from the witness as well.

And they directly quoted her in the article as saying...

“He seen the guy act like he was going to go into a residence,” she said, “but then my husband drove off so we’re thinking that maybe he was just doing that so that my husband would leave.”

The woman said her husband saw the man walking on a street perpendicular to North Lister, where Lisa Irwin lives with her parents and brothers.

So how does that morph to him standing in the driveway while she is looking out the window? If the man turned into the residence before her husband drove off, how did she see him from the window after her husband pulled into their driveway and got out and stood beside his car? If he was walking away, how did she see the baby?

Just doesn't add up to me.

What the he//?????? If I saw a man at midnight or 4:30 am, I would call the police asap. And it was 40 something degrees, the baby was only in a diaper, and THESE PEOPLE didn't think it was odd, wrong, disturbing. WTFH??? :maddening:

This is what I've been thinking since I first heard about the "sightings". I find it difficult to believe the witnesses because I can't imagine how ANYONE seeing a baby dressed only in a diaper in 40 or 45 degree weather being carried by a pedestrian in the middle of the night doesn't call 911. Something is obviously not right in the situation, and at the very least, child protection would need to check it out. Doesn't say much about the "witnesses" IMO.

Maybe IndaMiddle can tell us how lit these residential streets are at night?

How far away was this man with the baby when she saw them?

I think this woman is adding more details to her story since the night of the 3rd. JMO

Her husband was standing beside his car getting ready to leave for work about 12:15. She was watching him out the window. She saw her husband looking at something, then she saw the man out the window walking down the street,. The man turned like he was going to a house as her husband drove away to go to work. (this is when her husband drove past him) He called her from the car and asked if she saw the guy. I think the husband wanted her to call LE because he was on his way to work.

On HLN, the woman claims she and her husband both saw the baby's arm and leg hanging and the man was holding the baby's head against his chest and that it seemed like he was familiar with how to hold a baby properly. Reruns on right now.

And in the article it said that he was coming home from work about 12am. And no mention of her seeing the man, just the husband. The reporter either got it totally wrong or she did say that. Which is why LE needs the raw footage to sort out these discrepancies IMO.

In the first interview the lady said that her husband wanted her to call LE. In the HLN interview she said that her husband was leaving for work when they saw the man. She also said her husband called her from the car and asked if she saw the man so I'm assuming this is when he asked her to report it which she did. I think there's some confusion because we assumed in the first interview that the husband was getting home from work instead of leaving.

Right, I think the reporter assumed he was getting home instead of leaving. She did not say that she also saw the man. Maybe because her husband was outside and got a better look at him. Maybe she said it and it was edited.

Maybe the reason LE interviewed them 4 times is because they are as confused as we are.

LOL..maybe. Well I'm confused enough to need some sleep. Hoping for better news tomorrow.

Dr. Know, you would have called 911 as I would have, and most of posters here on WS. WTH?? Did these people think it was "NORMAL" to be carrying a little baby around at all these hours and not EVEN think something was VERY, VERY, VERY WRONG?? OMG No one even cares anymore, do they????

I'm particularly talking about the 4:00 a.m. sightings. Who walks down the street at 4 am carrying a baby dressed only in a diaper in 40 degree weather? I would think the first instinct would be to call 911 for the baby's sake even if the man carrying the baby was his/her loving daddy. These sightings seem to be taking on a life of their own - but we knew they probably would. :)

That witness didn't even report it to the police until a week later.

I guess no one wants to get involved these days. Look at what happened to the little girl in China who lay bleeding on the sidewalk and people just walked around her without helping. She's dead. No one cared.
