The state has called Jerry Lubinski, of Missouri. He testified last month in the Jimmy Rodgers trial and if I remember correctly he is a church friend of Curtis Wayne Wright Jr.
Lubinski is a lifetime resident of Missouri and currently lives in Hillsboro, Missouri. Lubinski was a brick layer then started his own business, he said.
Lubinski said he met Wright through the church around 2005. Wright worked with the youth at the church, Lubinski said. Lubinski asked Wright for help with computer stuff for Lubinski's business, he said. "We became very good friends," Lubinski said.
Lubinski said he was aware that Wright was not in a good financial position and he would occasionally lend items for Wright to borrow. Lubinski allowed Wright to borrow his Garmin GPS.
Wright helped Lubinski with computer stuff for his antique business, Lubinski said. In that antique business Lubinski worked with silver and gold coins, he said.
Back on the record this morning in #MarkSieversontrial. Jerry Lubinski, who knew Wright and let him borrow the Garmin, is first up for the state. This continues a large number of Missouri based witnesses. #trialtweets
Lubinski attended Wayne and Angela Wright's wedding celebration on May 2, 2015, Lubinski said. Lubinski is identifying photos of Wright and Mark Sievers at Wright's wedding in 2015.
Defense Attorney Michael Mummert is now cross examining Wright. Mummert asks Lubinski if Wright was asked to resign from his position in the church. He was assistant youth director before he resigned.
The church parents didn't like the way Wright and the youth director were teaching the children, Lubinski said. Some parents were upset that the children were taken downtown to see how homeless people live, Lubinski said. Wright does have memory issues, Lubinski said.
Good Lawd! Who exactly is on trial here? CWW and JR??? Hasn't this justice system already established that they committed the murder? Why are they being retried? I wish the State would focus more on connecting them to MS because in the end that is what will get them a guilty verdict. I'm trying not to give up hope here, but it's slowly slipping away.
Circle K manager from one of the Florida stores where Rodgers and Wright reportedly were seen on the stand now. I don't believe she's the same we saw in Rodgers trial, but some effort to get videos into evidence.
Quick break while the state and the clerk try to get evidence organized. Right now a manager from a Circle K gas station in Bushnell, FL. The state says it has 5 witnesses ready to testify today
