That was quick. First witness for the defense is done. Next up Lt. Lebid with the Lee County Sheriff's Office. In openings, the defense claimed Lebid worked to make the narrative stick that Mark Sievers plotted his wife's murder. Guessing they'll go after him about this again.

ASA Hamid Hunter asks if the Lee County Sheriff's Office conducted a full investigation of Angela Wright.

Lebid said that is correct and that Angela Wright had no reason to be involved in the homicide.

She wasn't arrested because she wasn't involved, Lebid said.

The state in their questioning of Lt. Lebid, points out Angela Wright's prepaid phone never pinged in Florida. We've heard testimony that Curtis Wright's prepaid and Jimmy Rodger's personal phones both did. The defense putting a lot of focus on Angela Wright not Sievers.
