So much motive to pin on MS. In addition to the life insurance I believe MS was also afraid that as soon as TS found about what he did to her business, the medicare fraud, not paying their bills, etc. she would divorce him and take the kids from him. Not the exact picture CWW is painting, but I do believe he didn't want to go through the whole divorce and custody battle. His plan sure backfired in the worse way.
And the taxes, Mark had screwed up their taxes and they owed the IRS.

On the insurance, I believe most policies include murder as a qualifying "accident" for double indemnity. So the insurance payout would be more in the $9 million range.

The part that made me think twice, CWW did not think of using a gun because he is a convicted felon, but to him it is okay to murder a woman with a hammer for 100k. I just don't get it.
Wouldn't a felon transporting a firearm across several state lines would be a Federal offense? I'm sure he wants to avoid the Feds.

We are still on lunch break, but here is a picture of Anne Lisa showing a picture of Teresa Sievers to the jury.

Up to this point, the jury had only seen several pictures of Teresa’s body at the crime scene.

hoping the trial gets better worried today, why call the sister in all the way from the northeast just to have her say they had a weekend together? I was expecting her to say what a creep MS was or how he was flirting with other women or ignoring TS or just being a jerk, something but I don't think they asked her one question unless I missed something on a potty break?

CWW, who shows up to a well planned out murder scene w/o a weapon? Duh? LOL I don't want to route for the criminal team here but geesh, I am just not buying his story and the meathead defense attorney ( not a good idea IMO) he was so condescending it just makes you score for the defense, so far that is, I'm sure later on we will hear things that will curl our hair ladies. I pray they are saving the best for last.

Well, Dr. Petrites was a very good witness and his sharing of the odd voice mail from Mark from the night before the murder was very damning.

Teresa's sister would be there anyway for the trial, so I don't think they had to bring her down just for that. I think putting her on the stand and giving her the opportunity to be the one to share the photo of Teresa, finally, for the jury was a good move. I did think they would have more questions for her, though.

Just a heads up, because it is confusing....

In-laws are an excellent judge of character sometimes, I sure wish they could have asked her opinion, that would have been a doozy to hear

And he continues to take frantic notes, as he hears about his wife being brutally slaughtered, which he has already heard about previously, several times. What could he possibly need to write down?
It looks so fake to me. He doesn't even look at the people testifying. His furious non-stop writing looks ridiculous and fake. I'm sure that the jurors are rolling their eyes. An innocent man would be looking at all who are testifying and watching what is going on in the courtroom.

He did it for the money...plain and simple. He just doesn’t want to admit it on the stand. He didn’t care why Mark wanted her dead as long as he got is $100k. JMO
I agree that he did it for money. Amazing that he was going to pocket $90k and give Jimmy aka The Hammer just $10k of it.

IMO, Jimmy is at least as sick if not more so than the other two. I believe that Jimmy laughed when he recounted how he hit Dr. Sievers.

It sickens and scares me to think that there are people like this walking among us.

Copying my post I had left on the Live Trial thread here.

A guessing game to think about over the weekend called
"What are Jurors thinking so far?"
  • Probably thinking that there's something strange about that CWW seeming to do anything Mark asks him to do.
  • WTH, Mark goes to the wedding and asks CWW to kill his wife!
  • Hot dogs were that important?
  • Even though not much sexy talk is being allowed in the courtroom so far Jurors are going there in their heads wondering if maybe CWW and MS...
  • Those voice mail messages and what Mark asked of that nice Dr. P seems suspicious. Was Mark setting Dr. P up to find a dead Teresa?
  • Why did Mark ask Dr. P if it looked like a robbery, but didn't ask about Teresa and her condition.
  • Who is the dude JRR that used the claw end of the hammer?
  • Why'd that gf of JRR tell so much and was it for money?
Don't make fun of my poor attempts. I have no idea what the Jurors are thinking at this point. I'm sure they are getting a sense that Dr. Sievers was a wonderful woman and they're probably horrified by hearing how she died.

I worked all day, then my car broke down on the way home from work so I am WAY behind. Do they have any plans to question Dr. Petritis wife??? This woman spent 5 hours at the beach with MS on the day before TS's funeral. I want the jury to know what they talked about.......FOR 5 HOURS. IMO MS needed to keep Ms. P in law school because she was his next money train. He had friends and family in town from MO and CT but he was at the beach with this chick ignoring them all. AND he chose Dr. P to find TS's body. I think Ms P know A LOT more and they need her on that stand.

@Bobbywoo I agree... and with Dr. P today saying they weren't that close to Mark, the 5 hours looks even more suspicious to ME. I'm wondering how the marriage is today.
Absolutely. And if I'm ever murdered and my husband spends 5 hours at the beach with my good friend's spouse I need you guys to check that shizz out! Seriously!

I wonder if he has ADHD. The man is utterly incapable of being still.
