Circumstances of Disappearance:
On January 10, 2002, Salisbury police responded to a report of a missing person, and learned that mother of three, Patty Dudek, 33, had not been heard from in three days. She was last seen on January 7 at around 7:30 a.m. by her teenage daughter. That morning, Patty had woken her daughter up for school, and when her daughter departed the residence to go to school, she observed Patty arguing with her boyfriend. Allegedly, the boyfriend went to work that morning, but returned to the home at 10 a.m. to find her gone. He says he found her infant son inside her vehicle, in the car seat. He took the child to a "church lady" before returning to work.
When her daughter came home from school several hours later, the house was empty, with her mother nowhere to be found. Patricia's car was still parked in the driveway. Her daughter then called the police to report her as a missing person after she failed to return home. Patricia Dudek has not been heard from since that time, and by all indications, it would have been uncharacteristic of her to voluntarily leave without notifying anyone, and to abruptly cease all contact with her loved ones. Her daughter believes that due to the passage of time, her mother is most likely deceased. Though detectives have conducted numerous interviews with witnesses and developed a number of leads, the investigation remains ongoing. Few details are available in her case.
