The van is there. Don't read anything more to the crime scene tape being up.

No POIs, they're looking at every lead.

Asked if he thinks there is evidence that a crime has been committed, he says it's a missing child case.

I think LE knows something ....and another presser @ 5....they must think they are hot on the trail to schedule another one...JMO

There are protocols whether you're investigating a burglary or a sexual assault etc., they're open to keeping all possibilities alive at the moment.

THey've made important progress in eliminating possibilities.

They are following protocols. CAse hasn't changed directions. Keeping all possibilities alive.

I think LE knows something ....and another presser @ 5....they must think they are hot on the trail to schedule another one...JMO

I thought the one at 5 was a briefing between investigators, not a presser?

Ha, ha, Ha! Donjeta, we were typing at the same time! Press conf. over.

I saw a little twitch when he answered that the dogs were cadaver dogs. They know something, bet my last dime. I think this one will be solved.

I hope so! All the money spent and someone knows where she is. :maddening:

Chief Joseph Massey said state police are at the home searching.

The crime lab truck has been brought in.

Massey said cadaver dogs have been brought in.

Massey once again is saying the family is cooperating.

Massey said no one has taken a lie detector test.

Massey said water searches are still taking place.

Massey said the FBI isn't planning any more "knock and talks" at this time.

Massey continues to say this is a missing child case.

Massey said the vehicles that were towed from the home will soon be returned

When asked if Justin DiPietro is out searching for his daughter, Massey said he doesn't know where he is.

He said that people shouldn't be alarmed that crime scene tape has been placed around the home. That people shouldn't "read too much into it."

Chief Massey said cadaver dogs are at the home, water searches are still taking place.

Police have not said if they plan on searching any other homes.

No search warrants have been issued---search of house is with family’s permission

Nothing new. New briefing at 5pm. Taking questions now.

Do we know for sure if this is a briefing between investigators, or another press conference?

If they deviate from their 2pm schedule of press conferences, then they have something big... but I'm not sure why they would schedule it in advance to do so.

I'm pretty sure this is a briefing between investigators, just not sure why he announced it...
