LEWISTON — When friends of Christina Melusine Fesmire heard a woman's body had been found in Lewiston last week, there were moments of panic. A 22-year-old who lives on Highland Avenue, Fesmire has been missing since the start of the month. She was last seen in Lewiston on July 1 and...

Missing Woman, Last Seen July 1, 2011

Christiana Melusine Fesmire, 22, has been missing since the morning of July 1, 2011. Christiana was last seen at a friend’s home, on Brown St. in Lewiston, ME. Her last known address was 36 Highland Ave. in Lewiston, ME, which had been cleared out prior to her going missing.

Christiana is approximately 5’5” tall, has a slim / athletic build, long dark hair, and blue eyes. She has a tattoo of a turntable on her right shoulder blade and a peacock feather on her right calf.

Christiana had been staying with friends on Brown St. and was waiting to be picked up by a family member to attend a family reunion in Rangeley, ME that she was excited to attend and had been looking forward to. Christiana’s family member was unable to reach her by phone and did not travel to Lewiston to pick her up. Christiana was no longer at the Brown St. residence when her friends returned home and was unreachable by phone. Her friends and family are extremely worried about Christiana, especially because she had been upset after the death of a very close friend for several months. It baffles me that this case has not yet been deemed a suspicious disappearance.

Christiana was depressed over a close friend's recent death... She was an aspiring model... She had a turntable tattooed on her shoulder, so maybe also an aspiring DJ.

IMO, LE should be releasing more information about who she was, and what she did in the days before her disappearance. She had cleared out her old apartment and was staying with friends. Not too unusual. But we need timelines--when did family member make plans to pick her up, and what time did friends on Brown St. realize she was missing?

'"This is very unlike her; if she was going to leave we would know where she was going," her 60-year-old mother said Friday.'

"Cornelio said anyone with information about the missing woman should call Det. Roland Godbout 513-3001, ext. 3319 at the Lewiston Police Department. They can also call their local police to report any information, he said.

When an adult -- anyone older than 18 -- is reported missing, but there's no evidence of foul play, police will issue a missing person report to other law enforcement agencies, but beyond that their options are limited, Cornelio said."

Cornelio is apparently Lewiston Police lieutenant Mark Cornelio.

Different call-in number here than on the missing flyer, but hoping that someone sees this and calls one of them to share needed info.

State and local police went to an apartment building at 36 Highland Ave. in Lewiston on Tuesday afternoon to look for clues at the last known address of Christiana Melusine Fesmire, who has been missing since early July.
