Update: *UPDATE 11/6 5:15 p.m. – In an updated release, the state Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Department (DIFW) said the Maine Warden Service continued its search Sunday for Diana Estey, last seen Monday, Oct. 31 and believed to be at home Wednesday, Nov. 2.

Do you mean the seat for her car? If so, it sounded like her brother intended to deliver it to her, so I'm thinking he was bringing it to her house.

I've never been to Medford, the closest I've been to it is the next town over.
That area is very remote, rural and wooded from what I recall.
She went missing at the start of hunting season.
Here's hoping she is found soon.

Her disappearance is suspicious because there is no obvious or clear reason for it.
She went missing between Tues, Nov 1st and Fri, Nov 4th.

It says she was still very active and liked to go for walks. I had been assuming that she got lost or injured on a walk.
She never married and had no children. She lived alone and had contact with friends and family only weekly, not daily.
Who would want to harm her?

Maine has such a low crime rate, but unfortunately, we have a big drug problem, especially in rural areas, that's why we have dogs and lock our doors whenever we leave. Never used to have to worry about that before, but things have changed a lot in the past ten+ years.
A woman living a lone would be an easy target. I wonder if they have other reasons that they aren't revealing, as to why they aren't ruling out foul play, like was her home being in disarray or appeared to have been broken into?
Did they say whether or not her car was still at home? I couldn't find that information. If it were, I'm thinking she went for a hike and possibly got hurt or lost.

I went back and re-read and I can't find anything about her car. This article does state that they believe she left on foot.

Circumstances:

"Last seen on 11/1/16. Residence was discovered on 11-4-16 unlocked, lights and television on. Personal belongings were still present as well as both vehicles."

This answers my question about her vehicles - they were at home.

Over four months later, and still no updates. With warmer weather finally here, I would hope to hear of some type of searches being resumed in hopes of finding her.
