Yeah. Not a firearms instructor. Because there's no such thing.

I was talking to my active duty husband about this last night. For context, he's been in for 18 years, is infantry, and has 3 combat deployments. He rolled his eyes so far into the back of his head. There's no such thing as a firearms instructor in the Reserves. I don't know where the media picked this talking point up but its been regurgitated everywhere. He said the only exception to this would be if he was range cadre somewhere for a brief stint of time, in which case that still was not his MOS. My husband was briefly a "grenade instructor" at Fort Jackson, where he taught trainees how to properly throw grenades. Everyone in the military is trained to shoot and fight.

Agreed, just wondering if LE has touched on it at all. Tons of media coverage so I was unsure.
I think every small town has that one family that folks assume things about, either rightly or wrongly.
I know mine did, and so that's why I was asking.

Maine Dept of Public Safety Commissioner Mike Sauschuck just used the word "suspect." While they may have called Card a POI for strategic reasons, I'm glad they're calling him what he clearly is.
