Wow that's interesting!! It looked like the "original" order of protection was from 2006... I wish it had a birth date tho. I noticed when I was looking at court records there were a ton of people with the same exact name and the only way to distinguish was by age/dob.

Or middle initial... I do not recall seeing very many Chad V. Griffis.

Well, if his shouting, threats and throwing f-bombs right and left on that 911 call is not a sign of a violent temper and being aggressive, I don't know what is. His body language and what he said during the short interview with Geraldo was aggressive as well. Compare that to the calmness of Crystal merely talking and answering questions. What did you find aggressive about her? I don't see it. To each his own, I guess. How do you mean PROVE.... it's all in the eye of the beholder. You might think he's just great... while most of us see him as a bully.
I have been around young guys like him all my life. They swagger, threaten, curse and try to act tough. They think hitting a woman or a child is okay... but put them up against a real man and they fall apart. Now, I can't PROVE that he ever hit Crystal, or has hit other women, or his kids. But then you can't prove that Crystal was lying, either, can you? So... again, it's all opinions. And I'm not trying to pick a fight... I value your opinions and agree with most of them... just not this one.
 
We just can't go around saying he is those things when we do not really know for certain. If there were records to prove them then we could. Just saying...

(As per JBean...he is considered a victim here. ;))
 
I really don't think it's fair to judge someone by the way they behaved in the middle of one of the worst nightmares a parent can face. As far as I know, there isn't a handbook telling parents how to behave, when their world comes crashing down all around them.

I am sorry but I absolutely disagree with you 100%! When I hear that 911 call back I hear a man, a father who is absolutely disparate over the where abouts of his baby girl. I also hear and see a daddy who is in utter, chaotic emotional turmoil. I see a bio-mom out there stirring up everything and anything which takes the FOCUS off of Halleigh's face and missing story!

I disagree with the attacks against RC because my dh and I married young, had kids young, at one time did not so good things. But once the babies came we strightened up and flew right. I see RC as a man doing the very best he can for those kids. His pastor and neighbors, family all attest to the good dad he has been.

I have not had good feelings about the mom from the get go and every time she opens her mouth it gets worse yet. She has shown very little emotion and seems focused more on the ex and his former behavior and throwing stones than finding her baby girl! JMHO

I only mention it because I remember seeing this guy:
GRIFFIS CHAD VERNON - (8/5/1979)
and I thought that would make "our" chad a little older than I thought he was. I figured him between 23-25, but this guy is 30. I wonder if this is him tho because there was a whole bunch of stuff I discounted thinking it wasn't our Chad.
 
Ive been watching issues with JVM tonight. Its pretty interesting.

Im to the point that I dont think we'll ever know what happened...and its sad. It appears (on the outside) that no one, including LE knows a d@mn thing. No ones talking, and when their lips ARE moving, it appears they are lying. I dont think LE is holding anything back except whether or not Ron is an informant. I think they are as stumped as everyone else and cant make heads or tails of this 3 ring circus. All the players seem to be more worried about saving face and self preservation to remember that there is a little girl missing....:(
 
So LE will not confirm or deny that he is an informant......well. What a mess.

Their comment was something akin to "we cant say either way" which leads me to beleive he probably is. If he wasnt they could say "No"...and put it to rest. Instead they are leading folks to think that he is...

Well something is up with it because by leaving it out there that's taking a huge risk with their safety. I still say he must have burned someone and they took "his heart". LE is playing a dangerous game with this no denial stuff....I'm not sure I like it. I understand they have a case to make....but what if someone else gets hurt?

ITA...and whether he is or not, in the interest of protecting informants, they should have said "No-he is NOT"....The question never should have even been raised...:furious:>>>>>GR<<<<<
 
Connie Sheffield, Haleigh's maternal stepmother, was on Jane's show tonight. She said she thinks the 'man in black' is Jr's imagination or just his way of dealing with it.

She also says that she takes her son and leaves at nightfall, and won't stay for the vigils, because she's scared. She's scared of the area ... saying that perhaps the person who took Haleigh, might be back or harm another child.

She said that many people are meeting their children at the bus stop, some on golf carts, so they won't be alone. She's saying that many people in that area are really scared .. especially at night.
 
Well for now I will just say that I respect and appreciate the opinions of those who are so fervent in supporting Ron at this point. I agree that---for now---he may still be considered a victim. I won't condemn or exonerate him based on what information is out there so far.

However, I will also offer this same reservation of judgment to Haleigh's mother and her family.

I heard that and thought it was very interesting as well, esp. coming from the maternal side. I guess if some "good" thing can come of this horrific tragedy it's (1) that the neighborhood is now "well aware" of the 44 SOs, and (2) people are taking better care of their children.
