Mexican authorities have sent out an Amber Alert in Tijuana, hoping to find a 7-month-old baby from San Diego whose mother’s body was found in a car across the border on May 31.

The baby, Valentina Sabean, has been missing since April 17 when she, with her mother and father, crossed the border into Tijuana. The body of her mother, Raquel Sabean, was found in Tijuana in the back of her mother’s car on May 31. Authorities in Tijuana on Tuesday said they responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle with a foul odor, only to find a body in a state of decomposition wrapped in a white blanket.

“Probably the father is the suspect. We need to find him so he could take us to find the baby,” said Baja’s Attorney General Ricardo Carpio.

Deanna Gilbert was Raquel’s shipmate between 2000 and 2002 on the USS Blue Ridge stationed in Japan. “She needs that military honor funeral; she needs her baby home in the United States where she belongs. She’s a United States citizen, a U.S. veteran. She needs to come home, they both do.” This little baby is 7 months old. She doesn’t have a voice and Raquel doesn’t have a voice either, obviously. We're her voice and I would hope someone would do that for me."

I guess the baby is with Dad? I hope that’s a good thing.
It’s mentioned that mom is a US citizen but is dad? Is he a mexican citizen or does he have family there? Was mom dead for a month before she was found or was her death more recent?

FBI seeks father whose baby went missing, girlfriend was found dead in Tijuana

The FBI said Tyler Adams, a 50-year-old United States citizen with more than a dozen aliases, used fake identification Thursday to avoid detection as he crossed back into the U.S. at the San Ysidro Port of Entry.

Adams, who has not been identified as a suspect, is wanted for questioning in the disappearance and presumed death of 40-year-old Racquel Sabean, according to the FBI. Decomposed remains thought to be Sabean’s were found late last month in Tijuana inside an abandoned vehicle.

Baja California officials issued an Amber Alert for Sabean’s daughter — an FBI spokesperson said Adams is presumed to be the father — on June 8, saying the trio had crossed into Mexico together in April.

On Wednesday, Mexican authorities detained and questioned Adams in connection with the Amber Alert, but he was uncooperative, according to the FBI.

On Thursday, authorities canceled the Amber Alert after the baby was found safe and in good health in Mexico, according to the Baja California attorney general’s office. The FBI said the baby remains in protective custody in Mexico.

That day, around 1:30 p.m., Adams crossed into the U.S. in San Ysidro using the alias “Aaron Bain,” according to the FBI.

“He used a fake ID, not a passport,” an FBI San Diego spokesperson wrote in an email Friday to the Union-Tribune. “There was an active warrant in his true name at the time of his crossing which would have resulted in additional screening.”

In a news release, the FBI said Adams is “a wanted fugitive” in Hawaii on a second-degree escape charge. A warrant for his arrest in that case was issued in September 2020.

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego FBI is asking the public for assistance in locating a man who is wanted in connection to the disappearance and possible death of a woman in Mexico.

Tyler Adams, 50, was detained in Mexico Wednesday in connection to an Amber Alert that was issued on June 8 in Mexico for missing woman Raquel Sabean’s seven-month-old daughter, FBI officials said. The child, Valentina Sabean, was found by the authorities in the municipality of Playas de Rosarito and remains in protective custody in Mexico, the California State Attorney General’s Office stated in a press release Thursday.

Decomposed remains were found in the vehicle known to be driven by Sabean, but a positive identification has not been confirmed.

He entered the U.S. at the San Ysidro Port of Entry about 1:30 p.m. Thursday, using the alias "Aaron Bain," the FBI statement said, adding that Adams is known to use "multiple fake and stolen identities."

Adams is also a wanted fugitive out of Hawaii for escape in the second degree, authorities said. The warrant was issued in September 2020.

According to the FBI, his numerous aliases include: Aaron Lee Bain, Aaron Lee, Aron Lee, Paul Wilson Phipps, Paul Wilson Phillps, David Smith, Dominic Braun, David Phillips, Kevin Schoolcraft, Kevin Kennedy, Michael Whittman, Lance Irwin, Brice Johnson, Matthew Kashani, Taylor Chase, Joshua Smith.
