I think it has been turned into separate living areas for family member. This link shows a door way up high with no stairs to get out http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...act=rc&uact=3&dur=1576&page=2&start=8&ndsp=11

Sorry forgot to quote BetteDavisEyes "As large as the property is, I think that there are multiple family members and/or other relatives/friends living there. It's also possible that some of the additions are separate residences, possibly rental units. I read somewhere that a 4-car garage had been turned into an apartment. An aerial view of the house seems to show several points of ingress/egress so that people could live under the same roof but not have access to the entire home.

The killer passed through some yards, LE found April's phone there...

Police reportedly told homeowners living along Omo lake, that Millsap's phone was found on their property or near it, shortly after she was found dead.

Those residents were told by investigators to search their property and be on the lookout for "missing items", possibly items that were on the teen.

O/T (?) MSM backup about the two cases of animal cruelty in St. Clair County - just in case it plays into this case:

From WXYZ:
Investigators with the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department are looking for tips to solve at least two cases of animal abuse in Kenockee Township.
...
The first case involved a dog named Chester. His owner says a couple of weeks ago, Chester went missing for six days.

He was found after the family heard whimpering. When they followed the sound, they found Chester's legs had been tied up with electrical fence wire and left for dead in the grass.

"I saw how bad it was. I had to cut him free to get him out. There was wire wrapped around 3 or 4 times each and then both legs wrapped together. He was in the Animal Hospital for a week," says Chester's owner Charles Hayden.

The other case of animal abuse happened just a few miles away and involves a 2 year-old Beagle named Buddy. He went missing on Saturday and was found five days later after a neighbor heard some noises behind his property.

...
A third case of animal abuse has been reported to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department, but it has not been confirmed yet.

Oh no, I hadn't heard/read about a third case (not confirmed). Sick, sick b@$t@rd($)!!

Sorry all, but I'm heading to bed early tonight. Will check back in later tonight or tomorrow morning. Prayers for April's family and friends!! May the perp(s) be found and held accountable SOON!

Who was that 40-something year old man who looked like a dead ringer for the sketch anyway? Someone linked his picture way earlier in the thread but then he was forgot about after the arrests a couple of days ago.

I wonder what else she would have been carrying with her for a dog walk besides her phone?

A purse? Wallet? Keys?

I see people walking their dogs from my home every night. A arm band that monitors distance walked and heart rate, water bottles, earbuds for music on the phone, plastic bags for cleaning up after the dog and possibly the dogs leash. The monster could have taken it off to shoo the dog away and use it on April. I also wonder if LE found DNA that was not Aprils on the phone.

Not at all forgotten by me. Still on my radar but nothing links him to this other than that resemblance which I am sure has been reported twice if not more.

? for 'sleuthers: I watch only WDIV (Channel 4) news and have wondered why they are scrambling the head of the young man who was arrested along with his father. He's not a minor (18 or under), so why is his face not being shown? Are other local stations doing this, too? The POI's name has been released, so why would WDIV not show his face? :waitasec:

I still have his Homefacts window open on my computer

14 year old, phone, maybe purse but I doubt it. Possibly backpack with what a 14 year old might find important during a walk with your dog. Maybe source or bowl/container for water (you and dog covered), maybe dog treats if she was into training Penny in some way (my DD almost 14 is totally into training our animals. She takes the following on dog walks: Phone Slobber rag/towel Phone A spare leash & collar (she wants to service the area with dog walking/obedience training but we live in a financially depressed area. If animals are not neglected or have adequate food/water they are considered well cared for).

If she is into makeup then a small makeup bag with foundation powder eyeliner eyeshadow (three colors/shades) Mascara Lip gloss

That is a good question. I do not know the answer and am not ready to speculate

BTW if any letter n s are dropped i my posts I apologize. Key board issues.

suffice to say the dog walking.training thig is not going well. My neighbors would never pay for that service. Which is sad. DD has a way with animals. :(

LE says the home that was searched was part of a marijuana investigation.

Neighbors told WJBK, Fox 2 News that a blue and white motorcycle, which matches the description of a vehicle police were interested in speaking to the owner of, had been seen at the home.

The blue and white motorcycle "seen at the home" could mean that the rider was often at the home but doesn't live there. The owner of the bike could have been a buyer or a "runner" -- the person who distributes the drugs. I had drug dealers living next door to me at one time (in a townhouse) and I would see the same car coming and going throughout the day. The car would sit running in the parking lot with the stereo blasting for 10-15 min. at a time. The runner didn't even look 16 -- the second runner, that is; he rode with another runner for a while, maybe until he got his driver's license. The couple who lived next door didn't look over 20. Later, another couple moved in with them, which was against the terms of the lease.

Anyway, I'm thinking how probable it is that a very young guy was acting as runner at this drug house. He could have been as young as 16 and maybe April would have recognized him from school. I think it's likely this crime was committed by someone known to April.

Just some thoughts.

VILLAGE OF ARMADA, Mich. -
As police continue to ask for tips looking for new leads, the town of Armada came out to pay its last respects to 14-year-old April Millsap, who was found murdered along the Macomb Orchard Trail more than a week ago.

Life in the tiny village of Armada has come to a standstill ever since Millsap's body was found near the trail eight days ago...

I'm not certain, but I believe that teens without an official operator's license can drive ATVs or scooters - maybe even as young as 14. Some of these types of vehicles are permitted off-road, and it looks like some folks might ride them on Macomb Orchard Trail. That April knew her killer is a very real possibility, and it's possible that she recognized someone who was "behaving badly". :moo:

I wonder what else she would have been carrying with her for a dog walk besides her phone?

A purse? Wallet? Keys?

Maybe my first thoughts were too literal (since I know "on the teen" could also mean carrying them)

But I thought about jewelry or glasses or such?

If the perp held April's cell phone before tossing it near the scene, there would likely be finger prints other than April's on the phone (unless perp wore gloves, of course). Makes me wonder if there was something unusual about the fingerprints and that LE was surreptitiously inspecting drivers'/passengers' hands during the roadblock interviews on Thursday. :waitasec:
