I would think that if a man was standing out alongside the road, waving a gun at another man, who was pleading with him that his baby was in the car, that SOMEONE would have noticed that incident.

Also, I agree that if this really happened, DL would have put up a fight. My DH, who is not typically a street brawler, would have taken a bullet or two, and fought with the jackers if they had tried to take our baby girl from him. No doubt. One time he stepped right in front of a pit bull on the Venice boardwalk, who was lurching towards the baby's stroller.

Or 8:02 and 9:50 am since we don't know what time he arrived at Banika's house. We only know he contacted LE at 9:50am.

I've spent some time looking at the financial aid info for WCCC and I can't figure out why he would not have applied much sooner than the day he reported the alleged carjacking. WCCC has a place online to check financial aid. So what exactly was it he was allegedly supposed to be checking on that he needed his brief case?

Not that I buy for a second he was actually taking a "very very sick" child with him to go inquire on his financial aid status.

I bet he dumped the car and just hightailed it to the mothers home.

I doubt DL acted out a car-jacking. He just pulled over, and walked/ran away. There would be no witnesses to a car-jacking that never happened.

The timeline is very confusing!

Bianca's uncle was at the house when DL showed up and I imagine he would have made some calls to family members, who then made calls, themselves.

If Dl was stutterinig and stammering, I doubt he called anyone, until he calmed down and was then able to call LE.

I wish we knew where the bus driver was when he claims to have seen DL. Because to me, as a non local out of stater, the alley looks to be in a residential neighborhood. I don't understand how or why a bus driver could have seen DL in a residential area, unless the bus routes travel through residential area's in addition to busy commercial streets.

Or we are mistaken that this is a bus which provides city public transportation and the bus is a school bus, which would reasonably be driving in residential neighborhoods.


Has it been stated whether this was a city public transportation bus driver or a school bus driver?

But here's another possibility in part of this story. Suppose TL did not sleep over at the house DL had left early that morning. Suppose DL picked up TL at TL's house to drop him off at his school. Omitting Bianca entirely, as she was never seen in that car that morning by any other non-family witnesses. This could mean that during that morning there were only two known people in that car that can be accounted for. I am afraid that it took two weeks for TL to appear in the media with his supportive story for DL. He could have been pressured to make things sound better for DL.
TL said that Bianca's half-sister, 5 or 7 years-old, strapped Bianca in her carseat. Was this added to give substance to Bianca being alive and in that car that morning. Why didn't DL mention this in the beginning? It makes no sense that a very young child be allowed to strap a very, very sick Bianca into her carseat.

I hope they find sweet little Bianca soon, so she can be given a proper burial.

Not sure it has ever really been determined if he actully left the car or not. LE and MSM have not elaborated much on it contents.

If he was on video exiting the car then he would have had to have Bianca with him, right? Because he would never leave her alone in the car being the great dad he is

This makes sense. though, I can't see someone so freaked out that they would be stuttering and stammering if their child was actually in danger. His inability to react quickly on his childs behalf tells me his story is a load of bs.

Interesting choice of words there (imo) in that he mentions the car but not Bianca. The car was recovered but Bianca is still missing so I would have thought taking her would be more prominent in his mind.

Very brief report on the 6:00 news this evening (WDIV): Search today yielded nothing but volunteers will continue to look for Bianca. Warrant being reviewed by Wayne County Prosecutor but no arrest/charges imminent.

And of course that's what any *innocent* parent of a missing child would want to do. Talk about anything other than the events surrounding their childs disappearance while given the opportunity on national media.


ETA: and isn't interesting how both Mr. Lane AND Mr. Johnson sidestep using the words car jacking. If they think that isn't glaringly noticable, they're quite mistaken.

I'm also curious as to what the exact charges will be when and if the warrant is signed. Child Neglect, Child Endangerment? Maybe something to hold him until they are able to locate Bianca?
