Detroit Pastor Kills Man Who Threatened Parishioners: Report

A pastor fatally shot a man who threatened his parishioners with a brick, NBC station WDIV reported.

The 25-year-old stormed into the busy City of God Church in Detroit's west side on Sunday, police said.

The pastor tried to help the man but "things went south," according to WDIV. Authorities said the man had a history of threatening the pastor and members of the congregation...

Btw. The news is making it sound like this guy was just crazy. They are not really mentioning the love triangle nor that the pastor was the father of that guys kid.

Has it been confirmed that the pastor was sleeping with his wife and got her pregnant? It may be true but I can understand why some media wouldn't want to put that out there without more proof beyond the guy's facebook and rumors. The article says LE is looking into it so hopefully the truth will be out soon. I'm not defending the pastor or making excuses, if it turns out to be true then I'll be more than disgusted with him.

I'm with you. I don't know 100% of their background. But I do believe the affair part for some reason. Btw. Some pastors can be wolves in sheeps clothing. Some are also reformed ex cons from prison that use gullible people to their advantage.

I truly would like to know a little more about the pastors back ground. Also a gun vs a brick during a church service with members that would have helped you is kind of a stretch or overkill.

I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to move in with the victims wife since the coast is now clear. Maybe the wife told him that hubby was headed that way and he decided to stay put and just use his gun instead of leaving and calling the cops. Hmmm. We will see.

THE link in post #5 will direct you to the victims own words and thoughts and spiraling. So it is from the victims mouth. They were taken from his Facebook posts.

But of course he could have been delusional. But the pastor nor his wife have not yet disputed this affair claim in the media as of yet. Jmo

...Two Detroit police sources said detectives were investigating a possible love triangle between man who died, his wife and their pastor.
