[h=1]Human remains found in Flint park, police say[/h]
FLINT, MI -- Multiple police agencies are investigating after human remains were found Tuesday afternoon at Broome Park on the city's south side.
Michigan State Police Lt. David Kaiser confirmed law enforcement are combing over the park off Atherton Road. A Genesee County Sheriff's deputy blocked off the park's entrance.
More than two dozen police officers, detectives, and a Michigan State Police K-9 unit have responded to the scene.
Ed Benning, MTA general manager, said a maintenance person that cleans out bus shelters had stopped off to buy a sandwich near the park on his lunch break "and noticed something and called to report it."

The 49-year-old Beatty walks his dogs in the park on a regular basis and had not spotted the remains prior to Tuesday morning. Once coming upon the remains, he knew what he'd seen.
