The coworker and her brother are not suspects in this case or persons of interest. They are not discussable as such.

You can discuss only what is known in main stream media and from law enforcement. You can discuss the witness only with what we know thru the media at this time. No one is sleuthable at this point.

The only thing discussable is what we know thru main stream media and from law enforcement.
Rumor is not allowed and facebook discussion is not allowed.

Also guys, please don't discuss pming someone or getting pm's on the thread. It is against
TOS.

Thanks!

Never mind I found my answer. Can't figure out how to delete this so I just changed it.

Even with all the rumors flying around I still think the perp is not necessarily a local. My hunch is that it is someone in a traveling salesman or service or delivery type job that comes through the area from time to time and took a liking to her. The person probably isn't well known if at all in the town and lives elsewhere in a neighboring town or in the region.

However having the witnesses there that knew and worked with her at the time of the abduction is a peculiar coincidence.

The other clue that stands out is the report of a similar van at the station several hours earlier. The perp was probably scoping out the station and saw Jessica was working then carried out the plan later. Did he go back to his residence to get the necessary items to abduct her?

Could be, Trenchmouth. By the accounts I've read, she is very friendly and affable. And it's likely relevant that she is an attractive woman. So it may be the case that the perp is a stranger who was taken in by these positive qualities. It makes this case so much harder to figure out.

That van is probably dismantled and sold as parts. He could have bought anothersimilar to it but a different make and year.

I know that we "know" what Jess was wearing on the night she disappeared..but did she have any favorite jewelry she was wearing? I see that she really liked her boots (since she wore them to work), would that make her a "fashionable" type? One that wears accessories too? Just pondering the possibility that mayber her jewelry or something personal of hers ended up in a pawn shop or on someone Else's person that we could recognize?..JMHO

There is still a part of me (small part) that thinks stranger abduction. We should make a list, one column lists things that point towards stranger, one that points towards friend/aquaintance.

STRANGER
Creepy van seen at area gas stations
Nobody has recognized the sketch (assuming the sketch is valid)
No new abduction attempts that I'm aware of it's been a year

I've started the known/local list twice only to lose it before I could post. Stupid Nook. Maybe you guys can continue....

As I was reading the 3 points that could make it a stranger abduction, I also could view those same points as a friend/acquaintance abduction, and if not all of those points, then at least 2. The creepy van seen at gas stations, well, if "creepy" is taken out, then certainly anybody owning a van would need to get gas at some point.
IMOO.

Great idea about the pawn shop!
Or it was kept as a memento, perhaps?

Sorry- there are a lot of rules on this thread and even though I think I am OK sometimes I guess I am not.

How would you suggest responding if someone sends you a PM and they are unable to receive a message without pointing out to them via the thread? I am not trying to sound rude in anyway, I am just unsure how to go about it if in fact it happens again.

in a recent article it is stated that although they do not have one suspect in this case they still have several that remain POI

http://www.mlive.com/news/muskegon/index.ssf/2014/04/the_mystery_of_jessica_heering.html

this new clip also states that it is not just men...

http://www.wzzm13.com/story/news/in...police-chief-search-jessica-heeringa/8160531/

I can only assume that in at least one of the many articles it is stated that RF is a person of interest.... I know there was an interview with his father that stated he was being questioned regularly- I cannot find the article and am wondering if it says he is a POI anywhere. How direct does the MSM have to be to say they are a POI?

Hi 4csns,
Do you have a link to this?

Thanks!

I cannot find the link! I have been looking but it was on the 5pm news and I watched it on TV versus reading it on the computer. I know that the report stated that they confirmed RF whereabouts with cell phone data and that the family member owning the van were gambling at a casino that had surveillance of the people as well as their vehicle.

4csns,
Maybe going to the person's profile and posting a public message on the profile that you can't send/receive a private message?
IMOO.

I have to think it is local in several recent articles police chief Shaw said they are just one tip off from closing in on the case. I really believe that they have everything but "the smoking gun"

IF it was a random act I would think the manager would discontinue her employment with the station- or at the very least not recruit family members to work there. this is JMO.

I'm glad to see so much activity on Jessica's thread. It's been a year now. A long one for her mother and son. I'm still praying for some answers, for their sakes.

All this new information helps in some ways, but muddies things up in others. It does give a fuller picture of Jessica and some of her relationships.

About the manager thinking she might be stealing.......was she set up and scheduled to work alone to prove or disprove she was stealing? And if an employee was suspected of theft, why weren't cameras installed? The owner claims to lose only $3,000 in gasoline from people running off without paying, but how much was he suspecting was going out the back door? And why wouldn't that be cost effective enough to put in cameras???

You could put in a silly camera system for less than a 1/3 of that $3000 run off costs, and then nobody would need to be suspicious of anybody stealing.

I agree with the person who said check for anyone who filled up on gas that day at local stations, if this guy was driving around looking for someone he must have got gas somewhere local.

4cns, this is what I was going to suggest as well. You can contact them via the member's profile page and let them know about the pm. Thanks Treelights.

Holly bobo abductors found in three years. She will be found soon. It may take as long as 3 years to find Jessica and her abductor. By local we have to mean about an area 30 miles across.

How do I see the screenshot you speak of? I couldn't figure it out.
