MISSING: Family, police searching for missing Swartz Creek man

"Kevin Bacon, 25, was last seen just after 5 p.m. Christmas Eve. Family said Kevin was on his way to meet someone and never returned home.

Later Kevin’s parents found his car in a parking lot in Swartz Creek. They said the clothes he was wearing when he left were inside the car as well as his shoes, cell phone, credit cards and cash."

PLEASE SHARE: Man reported missing from Swartz Creek

This doesn’t sound good at all! I hope he is found soon!

According to friends and family, Kevin Bacon was last seen at around 5:15 p.m. on Christmas Eve. They say he was on his way to meet up with a stranger from a dating app, and they have been unable to contact him since approximately 6:20 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
He sent a text at 6:12 stating he felt this date was going to be fun; said he’d be home that night; only stated the man he was meeting was from Swartz. A 6:23 text back to him wasn’t delivered.
They located Bacon's vehicle near Seymour & Miller in Swartz Creek.

He went to meet up with someone from an app (we believe grindr). He left at 5:15 on Christmas Eve and texted Michelle at 6:12 that he thinks it’s gonna be a fun time and that he would be home that night. The only thing he told her is the guy he was meeting with was a man in Swartz Creek. She replied at 6:23 and it didn’t deliver, his phone was off by then. He didn’t show up for Christmas at his families house. Michelle and I were able to get his laptop and find our way into grindr, tinder, and his other apps. The messages from that night were erased. His parents found his car in a family dollar parking lot in swartz creek with the clothes that were on his body when he left, as well as his shoes, cell phone, credit cards, cash, etc. The last location we pinged his phone was there in the parking lot. Kevin would not have missed Christmas. He would not have left his personal belongings in his vehicle, especially his clothing, nor would he have met up with a guy without having access to his car.

There is a missing poster on FB (under Kevin Bacon if you wish to find it) that states he is 6 foot 2, 300 pounds and his hair is colored a purple/plum color. I'm sharing as I don't recall seeing his physical description in the early MSM reports. I hope he is found soon.

Oh man, this does not sound good at all :(

So a text sent to him at 6:23 was undelivered/his phone was off, though his family got a text from him at 6:12 saying the date was going to be fun. So either something went really badly in 11 minutes' time or it was not him sending the 6:12 text MOO. Though I am leaning towards it was him since the message said he'd be home that night, and you'd think if his date had bad intentions, he would cover it by saying to NOT expect him home that night to buy more time.

There is a sports bar in the same lot as the family Dollar, that is a fairly popular place with good food, but I have not noticed cameras there. It is also close to the high school and a lot of other shops. One issue they may be having is that at this time of year it is dark a little after 5:00 and I am not so sure how well lit the parking lot is

This is terrible and alarming!!! IMO the media needs to step up on this! I feel as if it were a 25 year old girl missing under these circumstances it’d be national news! Where are you, Kevin? :(

I live in Oakland County (south of Flint area) and would not have known about Kevin if not for reading about it here. There has been nothing in local (Detroit) media so far. When the older couple was missing earlier in the week (found safe) and the little boy went missing on Christmas Day (found deceased), both were covered by local media. I hope the young man is found soon and is safe, but it really doesn't seem like there will be a favorable outcome.
