A Detroit woman accused of killing two of her children and storing their bodies in a freezer says she doesn't want a trial and wants to go straight to prison for life.

At a hearing Friday, Mitchelle Blair told the judge that she would "happily" do life in prison and doesn't understand why prosecutors are "dragging their feet."

"It’s my understanding that to have a trial is to get to the truth. I’m already saying that I did it. I’m freely giving myself and accepting life in prison,” Blair said...

This case is absolutely gut-wrenching. Those poor children.

Question: I watched a video that showed snip-its of the funeral. The Aunt spoke, but it was mentioned that the two surviving siblings weren't in attendance. Does anyone know why that was?

Maybe that's just because that child is so young...

^ IIRC, the soon-to-be-18-year-old daughter was required to help her mother put the bodies of her deceased sibling/half-sibling into the freezer. She obviously knows that her mother is a monster. The surviving son was very young when his siblings were murdered and placed in a freezer, so he might not be aware of the heinous crimes of his mother.
