I'm not beating up on Ron. But to be honest, I wouldn't want to be the one to go whisper bad news in his ear...I remember a saying about a messenger.

The size of a messenger's feet.....?:waitasec:

I have a hard time believing, no matter how much Ron could be disliked, that someone would not step forward and say something to him. we are not talking about cheating on someone here- this is a missing child! If someone needed to convince Ron what direction he should be looking in so that finding Haleigh could be expedited, I believe they would try at this point and end this agony.

Do you recall that the first weekend Haleigh was missing Ron's mother was on television letting the world know that Ron did not search that day because he couldn't get anyone to search with him.

He is that much disliked- he couldn't even find someone within his family and friends to help him search that day.

As I understand it, it's pretty bad.

Well, according to the LE holding the crime scene thread, the crime scene has been released. FYI

LOL, a roman proverb, don't kill the messenger. I meant it figuratively not literally.

I wish that they would have laid down their dislikes and differences just to help search but I might be misunderstanding.

I recall the stories, although I took it to mean he wanted to keep going and others were giving up/tired for the day.

That's pretty sad if that's what's taking place. Are searchers there on behalf of CS then? If I were in that town, I would help in the search for a 5 year old any day of the week! I don't care if it was Adolf Hitler's daughter, she is a little baby girl that needs to be home- shame on the whole county if that's the case!:furious::furious:

I believe that is because someone from LE is required to search with him, otherwise anything found would be very suspect. I believe that it was LE that was unavailable to be with him due to other areas that they were searching or interviewing people.

Though Misty states she did not leave the trailer, her manner of speach indicates she was not there the evening Haleigh disappeared:
Misty Croslin, the 17-year-old girlfriend of the missing girl's father, told CBS' The Early Show in an exclusive interview said Haleigh Cummings was asleep just four feet away from her the night she disappeared. "She wasn't there when I woke up," Croslin said.
Her verbal recant of events insinuates she woke up elsewhere, came home, she wasn't there.
If she had been in the trailer, her recall would put the sequence as follows: I woke up and she was not there.
It is just the way our mind puts things in a sequence of events as we speak.

Misty's language skills are rather backwards whenever she talks. She does not annunciate well and often uses the plural form of a word when she should be using the singular form. I just don't think we can take much from the way she speaks.

I don't agree, sorry. I can see her saying what she did, simply because she was not in the house when she was talking about waking up and Haileigh not being there. JMO

Maybe it's the "hick" in me but I don't see what's wrong with her statement. I take it that "there" was where Haleigh was suppose to be. Like she was picturing it in her head and thinking it at the same time.

I must be a hick too because IMO, her saying "She wasn't there when I woke up." is the same thing as saying"I woke up and she was not there."

I think she meant to say when she got back Haleigh wasnt there

What I am referring to is the way the brain linked the chain of events.

If she had in fact been in bed, woken up, went for a drink of water then noticed Haleigh was gone her verbal description would be 'I woke up, went for water and noticed she was gone" or "I woke up and she was gone" or "not there".
The way she describes the event is that Haleigh was not there when she (Misty) woke up. She allowing a 1/2 truth. Haleigh was NOT there. She is not putting her story in the correct order it would be in if she was in the trailer when she woke up. She is putting the second event (she was not there) before the first event (when I woke up).

Misty is very selfish and does share - hence the note to Ron's other child's mother. Everybody knows Haleigh was the apple of her daddy's eye - Misty is a child herself - I could see her becoming very jealous of Haleigh. The little boy - no big deal, but another female stealing Ron's attention? I don't think she would stand for it. I remember most of the females I knew at 17 being pretty catty and very possessive of their men. At that age I can not imagine playing second fiddle.
I agree, I agree I agree!!!!!!!

I have major problems with Misty. I DO think she left the trailer that night and propped the screen door open so she could get back in. And Haleigh went missing while she was "out". Did she have keys to the trailer?

I figure there are only 4 things that could have happened:

1. Misty put the kids to bed, maybe drugged them a little to get them to sleep so she could party. She left, came back and Haleigh was dead. She had to hide the body before Ron got home. Maybe a friend helped dispose of the body. She would be terrified of Ron if he knew the truth.

2. Misty went to sleep with the kids, someone broke in, stole Haleigh and is heaven knows where. Can not imagine ANYBODY sleeping that close to a child and not noticing someone in the room.

3. Misty was angry with Haleigh for bedwetting and hit her a little too hard out of anger and immaturity. Haleigh died - Misty hid the body or had one of her party friends do it. Not sure how her brother missed any of this scenerio but it is possible.

4. Misty went partying, left the backdoor propped open or at least unlocked. Someone abducted Haleigh.

Anyway ya look at it, Misty is at the center.

Honestly, I think Misty left the house, propped the door open so she could get back in. Found the pink shirt a day or two later in the dirty clothes. She has no clue what happened, but she is responsible for "losing Ron's daughter".

Sounds about right to me.

Wasn't there a rumor that Misty had been gone 3 days prior to Haleigh's disappearance with Ron's uncle and she had just got back? Was that rumor confirmed for sure?
I agree that Misty at the least knows something about that night and is not letting on. Also explains why she's always being questioned by LE for hours on end
Perhaps she "rememered" the pink shirt after one of her long interrogation sessions with LE..
