I'm not beating up on Ron. But to be honest, I wouldn't want to be the one to go whisper bad news in his ear...I remember a saying about a messenger.

I have a hard time believing, no matter how much Ron could be disliked, that someone would not step forward and say something to him. we are not talking about cheating on someone here- this is a missing child! If someone needed to convince Ron what direction he should be looking in so that finding Haleigh could be expedited, I believe they would try at this point and end this agony.

Do you recall that the first weekend Haleigh was missing Ron's mother was on television letting the world know that Ron did not search that day because he couldn't get anyone to search with him.
He is that much disliked- he couldn't even find someone within his family and friends to help him search that day.
As I understand it, it's pretty bad.

It would take 20 minutes to explain the word pertinent, so I can see some of the time being used up there.
Though Misty states she did not leave the trailer, her manner of speach indicates she was not there the evening Haleigh disappeared:
Misty Croslin, the 17-year-old girlfriend of the missing girl's father, told CBS' The Early Show in an exclusive interview said Haleigh Cummings was asleep just four feet away from her the night she disappeared. "She wasn't there when I woke up," Croslin said.
Her verbal recant of events insinuates she woke up elsewhere, came home, she wasn't there.
If she had been in the trailer, her recall would put the sequence as follows: I woke up and she was not there.
It is just the way our mind puts things in a sequence of events as we speak.

I agree, I agree I agree!!!!!!!Misty is very selfish and does share - hence the note to Ron's other child's mother. Everybody knows Haleigh was the apple of her daddy's eye - Misty is a child herself - I could see her becoming very jealous of Haleigh. The little boy - no big deal, but another female stealing Ron's attention? I don't think she would stand for it. I remember most of the females I knew at 17 being pretty catty and very possessive of their men. At that age I can not imagine playing second fiddle.
Sounds about right to me.Misty is very selfish and does not share - hence the note to Ron's other child's mother.
