The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating 57 year-old Brad Nagel.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says that he last had contact with his family on Wednesday, November 15th. Since then his family says that his phone has gone to voicemail. His family notes he was last seen south of St. Paul.

Officials say he is an avid outdoorsman and could have gone beyond Minnesota.

Nagel is 180 lbs. and is 5’6 with brown hair and brown eyes. The clothing he was wearing the last time he was seen is unknown.

Nagel was last heard from Wednesday, November 15, at 11:45 p.m. and was seen driving a 2005 Black Chevy Colorado with a Minnesota license plate DLB-549.

Officials believe he was in the Diamond Bluff/Hager City area.

On Saturday November 18, more than 200 volunteers joined the Goodhue County sheriff’s office in the search, beginning between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

“We mapped out some townships for each little group to go through and they did that,” Goodhue County Sheriff Marty Kelly said. “We’ve covered an incredible amount of ground looking for the truck that was our main goal today to find the vehicle and we have not found it yet. We have two airplanes still in the air, our water patrol is searching the river, the banks and so far, no leads.”

@Knox article above now updated that they found his truck today, but not him. No mention of where it was found, but says found by Goodhue County SO:

"Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office reported it found the truck of missing Goodhue County man Brad Nagel Sunday.

Law enforcement said the truck did not have Nagel in it, and that he is still missing. It said the investigation is ongoing."

Hi, this looks like a duplicate of an @Knox thread - can they be combined? (I recognized the name "Brad Nagel" because I posted on the other one lol)

Authorities searching for a missing area man, Brad Nagel, have found his truck. It was found Sunday at the back boat ramp in the Wisconsin channel of the Mississippi River.

Nagel was last heard from on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 11:45 p.m.

Nagel works at the Red Wing Environmental Learning Center.

(KWNO)-The search continues for a Goodhue County man. Brad Nagel has been missing since November 15 and on Sunday authorities found his truck submerged in the Mississippi River in Hager City, Wisconsin.

Goodhue County Sheriff Marty Kelly didn’t confirm if the windows of the truck were up or down but did say some personal items belonging to Nagel were found in the water near the truck. Kelly went on to say hundreds of volunteers have searched more than 1000 square miles and river boats and drones are also being utilized. Nagel is 57 years old, 5-foot-7, with brown hair and brown eyes. He’s been an instructor at the Red Wing Enviornmental Learning Center for more than three decades.

The county sheriff offices continued their search along the Wisconsin channel just outside of Hager City and race against the cold weather front that could limit their time in the water as temperatures drop this weekend.

According to Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office, Nagel was last seen walking alone in Red Wing around 7:40 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16. A few days later, on Sunday, Nov. 19, Nagel’s truck was found in the Wisconsin channel of the Mississippi River.

But with temperatures dwindling closer to below freezing, it will shorten the amount of time divers can be in the water.

“The tentative plan right now is we’re going to continue some active efforts daily,” Koranda said. “We’re kind of processing the information as it comes in. Working with Sheriff Kelly [the Goodhue County Sheriff]. We may try to do a little bit larger of a search, but at the end of the day right now we don’t necessarily have ground zero to start from.”

Even with divers time limited to search for signs of Nagel in the water and fewer officers on duty for the holiday weekend. Koranda says the popularity of the Hager City boat launch from fishers and fur trappers could provide extra eyes in their absence.

Previously LE said "Nagel last had contact with family on Nov. 15 around 11:45 p.m. and since that time his phone has gone to voicemail".

Now we have the BBM information.

A search is planned this weekend for a 57-year-old man missing from Goodhue County for more than a week.

Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News) - The death of a previously missing Red Wing area man was apparently a suicide.

The Goodhue County Sheriff's Office issued a news release this afternoon indicating 57-year-old Brad Nagel suffered from a single self-inflicted wound. His body was found yesterday down a steep embankment on his property in rural Red Wing.

Seems strange that he would drive his truck into the Mississippi river at a boat launch in Hager City, Wisconsin and then walk all the way back along the highway, through Red Wing, and to his property somewhere in rural Red Wing, Minnesota and commit suicide.

Maybe he tried to drown himself in the truck, but managed to get out.

When he was seen on video walking through Red Wing he must have been on his way back home.

RIP Brad
