Circumstances of Disappearance
Cindy May Brown was last seen in Roseville on July 29, 1980. Patrick Thomas Walsh is a suspect in her disappearance. He has a history of violent crime against women. Cindy, from Duluth, began living with Walsh sometime in 1979 or 1980. When Roseville police investigated in 1980, they learned she had told her supervisor at a Kmart store that she was leaving town. Walsh told police in 1980 she had left for California in a van with two men and a woman.

At the time, police figured Brown had left of her own free will. The case was later reopened as a possible homicide as Walsh became a suspect in another murder. Foul play is suspected.

Details of Disappearance
Brown was last seen in Roseville, Minnesota on March 10, 1980. She told her supervisor at K-Mart that she was leaving town. She has never been heard from again. Her roommate, Patrick Thomas Walsh, told police she'd left for California in a brown van with a woman and two men, leaving her own car behind.

At the time, authorities believed she'd left of her own accord. She wasn't reported missing until July 29, four and a half months after she was last seen. She lived on Rice Street in Roseville at the time of her disappearance.

This says she was last heard from in California. Still looking for more to back this up because nothing else points to her ever making it there.

Cindy May Brown
Bump.

Also, my understanding is that PTW said to the police that he last heard from her back in California, which could be lies. It doesn't sound to me that she made it there.

I found this on the MN DPS website- no new information, but I noticed her name is spelled "Cindi" Brown

Just a tiny mention, but at least it keeps Cindy's name/case out there...

Cindy Brown (also spelled Cindi), Roseville

Brown, 22, was living with Patrick Thomas Walsh in Roseville when she disappeared in 1980. When Roseville police investigated at the time, they learned Brown had told her supervisor at a Kmart store that she was leaving town and police thought she’d left of her own free will.

Walsh was arrested in the 1991 killing of 35-year-old Pamela Sue Sweeney, who was his co-worker, which led police to look at Brown’s case as a possible homicide, according to news articles from the time. Brown remains missing. Walsh is still in prison for Sweeney’s killing.
