I wonder if DW's initial firing and missing emboldened MB to return and make a run at him?

"Alleged" new audio... not confirmed... but discussed with a bunch of people like friends of MB. Can we say: Red herring? ;)

What's mind blowing to me is the guy never says, "holy sh$$ I think I just heard gun fire." Nope, he just continues on about how "purty" this girl is :scared:

I noticed that to and it led me to wonder if this was "real" or doctored. Also, since he seemed to have no reaction, I asked myself if gunshots were such a common occurrance around there they weren't worth noting.

I think she was just trying to explain that her client, a layperson, really didn't think much of it, but when she had a listen, she felt that her professional opinion of it being potentially having significant evidentiary relevance, prompted him to turn it over to the authorities.

(I wonder if he might have been a bit hesitant due to the things he was saying in the audio??? LOL...:loveyou:)
I know right! Bless him for coming forward!!! I got nothing to say about that other than I am glad he had audio!
FBI can easily locate the IP to verify his location.

All posts are MOO

I agree with you, We're talking about 10-20 feet or so that DW may have moved, right? I wonder if some sound expert could take off the man's voice and see if we here OW shout "freeze" or MB saying "don't shoot"

During the audio tape segment the retired police guy was talking about the sound not changing. Would it really change that much? We are not really talking about a far distance here?

General consensus on CNN is that this is a big "win" for the MB side. Anyone disagree with my assessment of CNN's assessment?

Changes nothing for me yet. If he fired shots stopped, thinking MB was going down realized he wasn't so he started shooting again. Kind of helps OW by showing he was not out to kill anyone just out to stop a threat but unfortunately needed to kill.

We cannot be sure this is his record and it is not from MSM. If there is a record out there I'm sure we will hear about it soon.

If this is in reference to the casenet listing I saw earlier in the thread, I'm going to guess that that is not the same guy, though anything is possible I guess. That MB is listed as from Troy, MO, which is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours away in very rural, farmland. I would be shocked if MB ever had a residence in Troy. I had seen this on casenet at the very outset but wrote off as not him. Middle initial "R"??? While casenet can be good, and you can follow cases in Missouri with it, it is difficult to ensure you are looking at the right person because it doesn't use a birthdate or ssn to confirm who the party is.

Interesting statistic put up on CNN:

68% of whites feel they need more info to make a decision
39% of blacks feel they need more info to make a decision

Sunday I asked a cop at the gun range who was there practicing if warning shots, or shots to disable someone are ever taken, and he said absolutely not. I then asked him about the whole MB thing, and he said once an officer decided to shoot, that they shoot until the person is stopped, whatever that takes.

Eta: very nice officer btw, even helped me attach my new scope on my AR.

I know I am interrupting the flow of conversation but wanted to reply because I am just now catching up.

Policing as well as the training has changed over the years. My late husband was a retired LE night commander. He once shot a young guy in the back of his leg to stop him. He could have shot to kill but would have had to shoot him in the back and would not do that. This young guy had a gun and had just robbed a store.

Maybe the LE of today would shoot to kill, but back in the 70's and 80's that was not something that was mainstream training and was left up to the individual officer as to whether or not to shoot to kill. Each situation is different, IMO.

I am 100% in support of LE and have a strong respect for them. There are good and bad officers in LE just as there are in every profession. I'd like a chance to hear the truth in this shooting. We do not have the truth yet because we have not heard OW's side. We need the truth.

I'm seeing Don Lemon on CNN right now as I write this. He has a recording of what is supposed to be the sound of the actual shots fired. While I am not sure what to make of it, I am not so sure that it automatically makes OW guilty. The pause could be the time it took him to call for backup and exit his vehicle.

MOO's

I'm off to bed. I have to get up early because the cleaning lady is coming, and I have to get things cleaned up before she gets here. LOL

So does this mean OW was shooting him as he was fleeing? Then pause and shots fired at him as he was facing forward since shots per autopsy (except one in question) came from the front?

How do we even know this tape is genuine? The guy who is talking to some girl doesn't even react to shots. He doesn't skip a beat. Which is bizarre.

Sleeping pill kicking in, but, by all means if it can be entered into evidence, it should be. If it isn't MB's actions leading up to shooting that day, to me so far, seem to follow law for justifiable use of deadly force.

But what if his juvie record shows a pattern? And let's not forget that if there is a juvie record to speak of (wink wink) then it could very well be very recent infractions.

Also, it could be a motive for why MB acted so aggressively -- doesn't want to get caught again. Serious trouble this time, etc.

All moo, all speculation.

Possibly....

I don't really care about his juvie record since committing 2 felonies in 10 minutes is enough for me.

The real injustice might be when all these big names suck blood out of situation and leave Ferguson no better than they found it. To me that will be another tragedy.
maybe the big names will use their big bucks to see that all the cams are installed? since there is such an oppressive police mentality. to record all of that for posterity, going forward. or maybe not

I know that part is odd to me but if that is a common occurrence where he lives or lived maybe it would not phase him. ME? I would have hit the deck.

I really doubt it's so common that he doesn't skip a beat while sweet talking some girl. No reaction whatsoever.

According to the audio shots guy's attorney, he lives in an apartment on that street, right near where the shooting happened. She said that the FBI had just interviewed him earlier. JMO JMO ( Don Lemon interviewed her)

....the questionable analyst Purcells, or whatever his name is. He is not Baden's sidekick. Baden speaks for himself. ...
BBM SBM

Thx for your stmt that Baden ack'ed, in essense, his autopsy lacked certain elements necessary for a complete report.

Re above BBM -
We can assume fam's atty's selected Purcells and Baden did not.
Purcells' participation in autopsy - however limited or extensive it may have been -
imo, taints the second autopsy's aura, if not tainting autopsy report itself.

Purcell's participation in fam attys' presser where Baden was present, brushes Baden w a second coat of tar, imo.
Why is some uncreditialled dude standing there and stating his facts & his opinions?
One of the US' top forensic pathologists is standing next to him but not presenting his findings? Huh?
Remember old PBS show w Siskel & Ebert, each giving his own opinion on the movie, w no need to agree?

Was Baden blind-sided by atty's insistence that Purcells participate?
Baden was quoted in MSM as having waived his usu $10,000 fee. Silent on payment to Purcells.
How does atty buffalo or railroad Path'ist of Baden's stature into standing still for public humiliation, while working for free?
If not humiliated in surprise, did Baden agree beforehand to join in a charade, i.e.,
Ok, I'll give my findings, & stand silent next to uncreditialled guy giving his creative, imaginative stmts,
as long as those unfounded or inaccurate conjectures do not come out of my mouth.

I just don't get it.
