I would prefer he have a PD although some PD are pretty good at trying cases.

But I was always under the impression that Trusts cant be touched. Isnt that why Michael Jackson set up a Trust for his children? So no one would be able to touch it for any reason?

In the stranger pedophile/murder cases I have kept up for many years the victim child was killed very shortly after being kidnapped. So I think he fits the profile of the ones who kidnap, rape, and murder very quickly. These pedophiles think it is a necessity to murder the child rendering them voiceless unable to tell anyone what had happened to them.

Strange that you mention 'which is worse' because incest rape victims have been abused emotionally, physically, and sexually for many years over and over again, yet the incest pedophile usually gets very little time for the repeated rapes/horrendous abuse, and sometimes only gets probation.:mad: But most incest pedophiles do not wind up murdering their victims although sometimes it has happened.

Also when a stranger kidnaps, rapes, and murders a child they most often will be given the death penalty, and rightly so.

What is different in this particular pedophile murder case is he shot Hailey which is very unusual. Most of the children are wound up being strangled or smothered. Even when murdering the victim the suspect wants it to be up close and personal as the kidnapping and rapes were.

I would love to know what the criminal profilers make of the way he murdered her since it is highly unusual.

I think it is to be given out when the parents are no longer living. Something to fall back on when they are no longer here to pick up his tab.

I am very interested in your research Tssiemer. I have always wondered how successful the AA has been when a stranger pedophile has abducted a child.

Is there a case where the child was found alive due to the AA and was saved from the pedophile who took them? Off hand I cant remember any case but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

AAs are great for non-custodial issues though but then so much more information is already known immediately and who exactly took them.

Just as a side note, there was a vacancy made on death row in Missouri this week. Michael Taylor was executed on Wednesday morning for the rape and murder of a 15 year old girl in Kansas City in 1989. How ironic that on a day when Hailey was laid to rest, on the same day a place was made for her killer, in the future. JMO

IMO this guy could be a sadist. Poor little Hailey was bound before her death; at least at the wrists. This was a total power trip for him. He controlled her, took her to his own home, tied her up and after potentially sexual assault, killed her in cold blood.

Also, you said you wondered what profiler's thought about this guy because of the gun. I wonder what they think about his age and also I'd like to know if Hailey fit some "type" for him. Very young but also quite tall and extremely slender. Does this match any missings would be my first question.

Is there a good possibility of this request being granted? Has the prosecution indicated they will be seeking the death penalty yet? I don't know if this is a death penalty state. I hope at the very least life without parole is on the table. Sorry if this has already been asked.

I have also thought about that psyquestor.

Joseph Duncan was a sadist pedophile and after horrifically abusing Dylan Greone everyday for 6 straight weeks he murdered him with a shotgun. Daily Dylan was hung from the rafters of the old cabin and raped repeatedly and tortured in front of his little sister.. That case still haunts me to this day and JED video taped all of it including when he raped Dylan's sister, Shasta.

I am sure the profilers are looking into his background and history to see if he has done other violent acts against children that may not have ended in murder. I just don't believe this is his first violent act against children. To me pedophiles are wired this way from an early age just like JED was at the age of 8 years old and it doesn't just start when a pedophile reaches 45 either. IMO
 
Yes, Missouri is a DP state. I don't know how they deal with media in the courtrooms. It is probably left up to the judge.

They did not live in rural area. They lived in town very close to the HS in Marshfield. The area in Webster County that they have thought the women might be buried at is more around the Northview/Strafford area. The reason that area came to be suspicious is more to do with a family - or brothers - that have always been trouble and rumors have forever gone around that they might have been involved in the missing 3.

I think CW's parents are good people. He was a teacher/coach when I was in HS (I went to HS with CW). I am sure that they are living the worst nightmare imaginable right now. I do wonder though if they helped CW out because they knew something was "off" with him. Perhaps they felt he was not able to live life like a regular person his age. IN NO WAY do I think they had any idea he was capable of this but I do think they might have sensed something wasn't completely normal. No parent could ever imagine this happening even if they did think he wasn't like others.
 
I believe the prosecution will wait until Hailey's full autopsy report is done. As to whether she was or was not sexually assaulted. I think there are many more charges that haven't been added as yet. Also many times the prosecutor will talk to the victims family before making that determination. There are times that victim's families are against capital punishment. Not many but some. JMO
