Oh no Indy, I am turning on local news to see what they are saying.

Asked whether there was reason to suspect that it was the body of the missing teen, Sgt. Brad Swanson of the Belton Police Department said: “I’m not going to jump to any conclusions.”
He did say, though, that it appeared to be the body of someone who was at least a teenager, and not that of a child.

one local news is reporting this
Investigators are not saying if the body is that of missing Belton teen Kara Kopetsky. Kopetsky's step-father said police had not contacted them and he said he had no reason to believe the body was Kopetsky's. Belton police said there are two other teens missing in the Belton area and they are keeping those cases in mind as well.

Saying they area also keeping in mind a 15 yr old and a 17 yr old that are also missing from Belton

But here it says they have????

Rhonda Beckford, Kara’s mother, said a representative of the Belton police came to tell her that a body had been found. Beckford had just completed taking part in the homecoming parade for Belton High School, where Kopetsky would have been a senior this fall.
It was the third time in recent months that police had notified Beckford that a body had been found. The first time, this summer, was when authorities found the body of Overland Park’s Kelsey Smith, who was killed in June. The second was after a body was taken from the Missouri River.
“Of course, we all realize that ‘Yes it could possibly be Kara,’ ” Beckford said. “I got very emotional to begin with. Then I just told myself, ‘We don’t know, and until we do know I am going to stay positive.’ ”

I'm here Indy. Waiting on news. Did you see that one of the articles said there were two other girls besides Kara missing in the area? ETA - nevermind, I see everyone saw that too!

My heart is in my stomach at this point, the body was not buried or hidden just laying at the side of the road.

One was pregnant, right? They should be able to eliminate her right away (or identify her). :(

I feel so sorry for a family that is going to get some horrible news shortly.

Im looking those up - I live in the general area and havent heard anything about any other missing teens. (this 60 second rule thing is driving me nuts at this point lol)

Investigators also found sweatpants and a knit shirt near the remains, but the body was so decomposed that investigators couldn't tell whether it was that of a male or a female, according to police.

They couldn't determine the person's race, age or the cause of the person's death, police said.

It appeared as though the person had been there for at least two weeks, and possibly as long as several months, according to investigators.

omg, I was wondering what the hovering copter was about on my way home from work. I thought it was a traffic accident, that NEVER crossed my mind!

The other channel said knit shirt, and track pants.
