I may be wrong, but I believe it has to be completely dark to see the stuff luminol picks up? So they're not covering luminol but covering the light source. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong or using the incorrect terminology. Just guessing here - TIA!

How Luminol Works

Investigators will spray a suspicious area, turn out all the lights and block the windows, and look for a bluish-green light. If there are any blood traces in the area, they will glow.

Hrm i think I'll head on over the the KCA threads and promote her innocence based on she had true tears in court.

Yea, RIGHT and I'm still :fence: with that one!

If someone was watching the house they would have seen the dad leave, then waited till the downstairs lights went off, the bedroom light went on then off, and then approached the house with the intention of trying doors and windows till he found a way in. That's how he would have found the front door unlocked.

Nobody breaks into a house and snatches a baby on the spur of the moment. If this was a stranger/acquaintance/weird neighbour, he has probably been watching the family for days, if not weeks.
But how could they have known dad would not be back at any minute? Watching the house for 'weeks' would offer no data as this was the first time dad had worked an all night shift. IF it is someone from the neighborhood, they are incredibly brazen to have talent such a risk and probably have a rap sheet already...imo.

Legitimate news outlets do not pay for any information and/or interviews. Can't prove they never have, but it's unethical. Tabloids, however, are different.

Many, many times they are not paying for the interview at all, they are paying $250,000 for pictures *Casey Anthony, and the players are so appreciative(?), they give exclusive interviews only to that network, ABC.

This kind of concerns me. Looking at the court files, JI has a couple of small claims judgments against him that have no satisfaction date on them. One of them appears to be 2010 property taxes. I think it's safe to say if the 2010 taxes are not paid, neither are the 2011 taxes. The other one is not really worth mentioning.

Same site...... so does Deborah (Debra/Debbie). I saw a few things that could put someone in financial stress (of course, who isn't these days)
But it alos puts my mind in the 'they've dealt with lawyers before and aren't as naive as some may think' position. Again, MOO.

That is what I am wondering as well. Maybe one of the perps accidentally butt-dialed. [ as my kids call it.]

Which is possible, but LE probably is very suspicious of. They would know what number was called, of course. This must be one of the potential holes in the mom's story they are working on. Doesn't make her guilty, but definitely interesting.

But that is troubling, imo. If my daughter was missing then I would happily allow LE to interview my son, knowing he MAY have heard or seen something in the middle of the night. Why would I prevent LE from trying to get important info that might help them find my daughter ?

I would think the first days when LE stated repeatedly that the parents were fully cooperating, that would include allowing their other two children to be interviewed. If they were not allowing it, LE would not have felt they were totally cooperating. MOO

What sort of "deal" would they have made if it didn't involve money? I can't think of anything else except giving their baby back.
Perhaps not cash money though, but other "considerations" including possibly providing minders to keep the other networks out of their faces, fielding phone calls, providing maybe a car and driver, possibly paying for other accomodations if necessary, hotel and the like - making their lives more bearable at this hellish time. That's how a network might pitch the idea to them.

It all adds up to money, of course. But I've read about it being handled as above in the past.

2011 property taxes would be paid in 2012, probably. You usually pay for the previous year's taxes in the current year.

In CA, the first payment is due in December (the 10th?)...so, that would still be 2011 but, yes not due as of yet.

True. News networks do pay for photos/video.

That's true about it having to be completely dark for luminol testing. It could have been this. Luminol tests are also not admissible in court.

Interesting.....I also just learned from reading the other day that luminol also reacts to many kinds of fruit juices and detergents...

Well, what time did dad leave for work? If he saw dad leave, and several hours went past and all the inside lights went out for the night with no sign of dad's return, it would be a fair bet that he's not expected back any time soon.

I agree if this is an outside job, its not a first offense. Its far too cheeky, and too slick.

This wasn't to me, but I can tell you that baby monitors don't work that way. You can hear the baby but they can't hear you.

Dr F posted a great link to explain this.
When we had our first baby- the monitor that you listen (the one beside our bed) you most definitly could here other things. I could here a father talking to his small child (5-6 yr old) over their breakfast every morning. It is really freaky. Now new technology being what it is may have found away to avoid this. IDK

It was on AP like 7 hours ago...gone now of course...but I think the dad also said that they were able to verify the alibis of all of those people and he included himself, and said that only his wife's could not be verified. That should be here somewhere :(

If dad (Jeremy) was a part of baby Lisa's disappearance, I wouldn't take what he said about alibis as gospel. MOO.

Yeah, I can only speak for my system here in IL. Hence the "probably" in my post.
