Bingo!! It's gotta be the guys. I just read the earlier thread and you and I sound almost prophetic. We knew it wasn't over. I wonder if this is linked to something even bigger.

Here's the PR for Michael Paul Martin of Troy, MO and Jose Carlos Garcia of Scherville, Indiana. Sounds to me that this was most definitely a child sex ring.

"According to the indictment, between January 1, 2008, and September 19, 2009, Martin induced three different minor children to engage in sexually explicit conduct so he could photograph them. He also is charged with receiving and possessing child *advertiser censored* during the same time period...."

The Troy, MO connection is correct as are the dates. The only thing that seems confusing is that they are trying Garcia of Indiana in Illinois. Is that common? Wait, got it. He traveled to Illinois to participate. The other two are being tried in Missouri. Notice Klopfenstine is not mentioned. I'll do some further checking. The school connection scares the putty out of me.

I guess the indictment for Martin and Garcia has not been fully released to the public. I see the first page, though:

The two men were charged with various forms of sexual abuse, sadistic or masochistic abuse (??), and bestiality. How did I know that last one was coming? We've discussed the impossibility of a child willingly participating in masochism. They cannot consent. I don't know what that charge involves. But I've seen it a number of times lately. Maybe forcing the child to pose in that manner?

The artist's site that I mentioned earlier is connected as he is the uncle of Matthew Klopfenstine. There are several comments about art on Klopfenstine's MS page. I hope he wasn't using his own artistic gifts to get jobs working with children.

:doh:Of course I clicked on it. LoL I'm such a sleuth I don't know enough to not go clicking on things I know nothing about. It appears it is a site where only positive opinions are allowed. It's run out of some place in Virginia. I think it is legit.

Meanwhile he also has a Bebo account. I don't have one and anyway not everyone can just get on his profile. Know how I know? One kid asks another to ask matt if he can get on his site.

The profile picture of him has blood on his hands. How dang ironic. Surely it's fake blood as he appears to be performing in his band. Blood on his face too. Man, this guy is no GG Allin. GG may have beat himself silly and head butted other crazed lunatics at his shows, but I've never heard of him hurting a child. GG had real blood on his dang head. His own usually.

Yep, Izzy we'll have to wait and see if we find out who his co's are.

Dangerous people out there. It makes me shudder to think they had the gaul to walk that poor child into a public place. Not one, not two, but three creeps. How is that right that this can happen? How?

Interesting that not a single person says he was a "great guy". I wonder if it is true that no background check was done by the school? A poster here says that the 2003 tip was not taken seriously. Sounds like there were lots of red flags. As I said upthread, six years in a very long time for a guy to keep offending.
