I read the blog entry - sure sounds like her - all justifications for how all this happened, her perspective - putting it in the best light possible for herself. Typical criminal behavior - nothing is her fault, it's all the victim's fault, if only Megan hadn't been such a meanie, she wouldn't have had to create the false persona, etc.
 
I went to the blog, when it was first linked here, I can't go back (if it's even still up and running) because no matter who created the blog, it's sick (IMO).

I do have a couple of questions if anyone can answer? I am wondering if I set up a blog or myspace account, and give everyone I know the details of logging on (screen name and password is what I am guessing you need?) can anyone with the sign in information, post as me (or in this case Josh Evans or Lori Drew)?

I really think that Mrs. Drew created the blog, but I wonder if she passed on the log in info to anyone who would pose as her to post, to make it look like it wasn't her? (Are IP's tracked on all these blogs/myspace?)
 
With your password, anyone can post as you - but IP's are recorded, and stored, so it can easily be proven if it was you or not - at least if it was your computer.

Thanks Details! (I do think Mrs. Drew started all of this, but I am going to guess that she passed the buck onto anyone she could. The computer information of IP's and etc... would be pretty hard to retrieve if the information was on several computers accross town?)
 
Let's assume that Lori did create this "fake" email address and was the one that wrote the first email or more. But then she never did so afterwards, but her daughter did.

So it escalated with her daughter and "her" friend doing all the emailings, until the tragic end which resulted in Megan committing suicide.

Can we picture Lorie Drew, over her daughter's shoulder as she types......

Absolutley!!! This is what makes this case so murky.

Both are guilty in perpuating a lie and continuing lying. (And that is all they did wrong) IMO

An eye for an eye, does not equal justice. (Except in the bible, but even then, God is not literally meaning that).

I think with the new law that is coming out, it is a very small justice for Megan Meir and her family.

There were a couple of posters here that said, Megan had control to do with what she wanted. I agree..............she did what she wanted on her own FREE WILL.

With this new law, and educating teens that they, and ONLY THEY have control of their OWN lives and learning self-esteem, will prevent this tragic episode to happen again.

For a blogger/blogspot blog you must have a Gmail/Google account. You can get a Gmail account either by invite from a friend or family member, or by giving Google your cell phone number so they can call and send you the activation code for your gmail account.

Actually, gmail has been open for "regular" sign up for some time now. You no longer need an invite. Nor do you need to give Google your cell phone number. Just go to the main page and register just like any other webmail service.
 
How can that cow Lori Drew NOT be punished for this?!?! She is a grown woman talking about sex with a 13 year old girl?!?! Why was she not charged with that? I know if a 40 y/o man was posing as a 16 y/o boy talking sex with a young girl, he would be arrested but yet this woman is out and about enjoying her life.

If she lived in my neighborhood she would have been run out along with her nasty daughter and husband.

I just watched this on Dr Phil and while I heard about this I never paid much attention to it. I am just sooo angry that Lori Drew is getting away with this.

Ugh. What can we do? :behindbar

Good! Hope they find a way to make this woman a criminal (well, she is but legally a criminal!)
The family says they are not going to sue because they do not want her money. Hmm, I wouldn't either but any way to strike back at this evil Lori Drew would be good enough.
I hope the family isn't hiding something else as an excuse not to sue.

Well good lets all pray that this woman is charged with something. She intentionaly tried to hurt this child by fruad and minipulation and if that isn't against the law it should be!

i wouldn't either-it won't bring their child back and the wheels are in motion for the Drew's to lose their ability to work and live because of the public pressure.

Any updates on whether or not Lori Drew was responsible for Meghanhaditcoming blog?

Unfortunately this mother(I wouldn't call her one thou) I bet has more rights then the victim and her family....

Hope the defrauding site goes ahead and Lori gets nailed...
 
I wouldn't sue either, I don't think.

First of all, it just keeps Lori Drew in your life for a LONG time. Civil suits take forever and complicate the grieving process. IMHO, you need a good reason to put yourself through one, like needing money for ongoing care, etc.

Second, it won't bring Megan back.

The Drew's probably don't have money anyway after their business has gone down the drain due to publicity.

And it would make the Meirs look like they were profiting from their daughter's death.

What good would come from a suit? Just the satisfaction of winning. Which is nice, but I think I'd rather take the high road, hoping for criminal charges and taking some small comfort in the fact that the general public is horrified by Lori Drew's behavior.
 
I understand about the not wanting to sue. I just hate that she got away with this. People tend to forget over time and she is truly wicked. She is like the *Cheerleader mom* who tried to kill her daughters rival. I don't understand how she could NOT feel any remorse for this.

That type is one I want to stay far, far away from.
If she's like that on line, can you imagine how she is to ppl in the public that has to deal with her?

No remorse, an accident looking to happen..
