Given the fact that his mother might very well know more I’m still so surprised that she’s getting partial custody, I don’t trust her at all after that clip of her smiling before answering the judge about whether or not he had told her where he put Mengqi’s body. That and she was helping him pack up to skip town after the investigation started...o_O

UPDATE: Police confident in Lamine River search area for Mengqi Ji Elledge

COOPER COUNTY - Authorities spent the better part of Tuesday searching an area of the Lamine River for missing Columbia woman Mengqi Ji Elledge.

The search will continue Wednesday.

The Columbia Missourian reports after the search was called off Tuesday that police spokesman Jeff Pitts declined to say if any progress was made.

The Columbia Police Department is in charge of the investigation. Department officials told KOMU 8 News they were confident they were searching the right area.

“During an interview with detectives shortly after reporting his wife missing, Joseph Elledge told detectives he had driven around rural areas of surrounding counties.

From this information, authorities said in a news release that Columbia Police detectives were able to narrow down a specific area, which was determined to be a location of interest that needed further exploration.”
Joseph Elledge granted new judge in child abuse case

I’m wondering if they took a cadaver dog to his car? Since he was driving around so much, it’s possible that enough cadaverine was expelled that a dog might get a hit.. I’m really worried about a no body conviction needing to take place... moo
