Another case with some similarity, but a bit older :

A burned body was found in Olathe KS. However she was seen on surveillance video at a convenience store on Independence ave in KC the night before.

Seems she had some drug problems as well. She is described as having made some risky decisions.

Independence ave is less than a mile from the casino that janina was found at.
Independence ave is about 4 miles from where Toni was last seen.

Her murder was in 2008.

But she seems as if she might be another person who would be a decent target as a confidential informant.

found this on a KC lawyer page :

"In addition, Kansas and Missouri law enforcement agencies often recruit a confidential informant to make a "controlled buy" of drugs from a suspect. "

Was Toni making a controlled buy?

Was this kind of situation what had her thinking about disappearing?

Here's an actual case with a male who was a confidential informant in KC, and.... the motel it happened at was just a few blocks off of independence ave in 2014 : (yep.. just blocks from where janina was brutally killed)

http://www.kctv5.com/story/24341961...brutally-killed-suspects-said-he-was-a-snitch

Here's a confidential informant being used in April 2016 for a KCMO bust : (hell, for all we know it was Toni)

So... I guess my point here? Is it that crazy that Toni was a confidential informant who police were playing fast and loose with her safety?

Janina?

I don't know the protocol that is supposed to be adhered to that ensures safety, but regardless... shouldn't the parents be made aware?

I hope this is all just not a real connection to Toni's case, because it gives me a bad feeling in my stomach about what potentially could have happened to her that night.

But if it is connected via this drug informant concept, it's simply not right imo.

I think it's one thing to have an informant give a tip as to who is a big fish etc, but to have them make a buy that results in likely exposing them? Not sure I like that concept.

The device in Toni's car probably does nothing if the car is off or idle. It probably also doesn't provide location tracking information (in fact, I think LE has stated this).

It was said early on she was meeting someone at a QT even before all the evidence came to light, so she was probably going to that QT on purpose. I do find the proximity of Riverfront park to be interesting considering Janina's case. I would say they should check that well, but they haven't searched much of anything else yet.

The Shady Lady is midway between the QT and Chrome. I think she may have been there already before she went north considering the timeline.

That's the thing about lying, it makes the next thing you say a bit harder to believe. right?

But, am I the only one that might be thinking that she actually went to the shady lady that night? And that's what is what the secret is?

The time makes sense that she could have stopped at the shady lady and then went to that QT?

That would mean that they were possibly lying about her not showing up or modifying the story.

Now... I took a look in streetview and saw lots of streets in that neighborhood that shady lady is in, that are... err... shady.

If she shows up there and gets a *job* that requires her to go to some location NW of there, suddenly that explains why she was heading up that way.

But... whoever is at shady lady might not want to tell you they gave her an address.

If she did show up at Shady Lady, they could have told police she went to QT because they knew she had already been there and thought the story would seem to check out.

Was it the bf who originally told people she was going to a specific QT? I have always wondered about this--whoever gave a specific QT location. If I was going to get gas or stop at an ATM, I would most likely just say, "I gotta get gas on my way home." I wouldn't specifically mention which station I intended to stop at.

"OMG just just pulled over again"

By whom? If by anybody. She doesn't say. It's assumed she pulled over "again" by LE, because she was previous. But that's not what she tells us.

It doesn't necessarily have to be someone else . She may have pulled over with car trouble or for any numerous reasons.

Snip

Toni Anderson, 20, hasn't been seen since early Sunday morning, after she told co-workers she was headed to a gas station at 31st and Southwest Boulevard, but she never made it there.

Sanchez says Toni works as a server at the Chrome entertainment bar on 40-Highway. On Sunday, she left work at 4:11 a.m., and was adamant about going to a gas station.

He was asleep at the time she was getting off work.

-from this article I take it that he learned from the coworkers that she was adamant about going to that specific QT because if he was in fact sleeping then I am guessing he wasn't in contact with her-

Toni's friend, Roxanne Townsend says she received a frightening text from Toni.

"It was exactly 4:42 when she texted me and said, 'I just got pulled over again.' She said 'again' because she gets pulled over all the time," Roxy Townsend said.

That is NOT what the text reads. It reads ""OMG just just pulled over again"

Her language (the friend) suggests that she was ("GOT pulled over) pulled over by someone, giving a false impression, and misleading people.

That's kind of my point, is I can see the logic of why they didn't want to be involved/connected with the *reason* she was heading that way.

Because if she stopped there, then they have to answer questions about why? Easier to just say, "she never got here".

This is not about stories checking out, it's about not wanting to be seen as having information or being connected with what happened next. If you take into account the Janina Vasquez story, maybe the people at the shady lady knew she was a CI? Maybe they sent her to a place where she thought one thing was going down, and then another situation entirely is what happened. Janina Vasquez was seen getting into a red car before her being dropped in a well etc. She likely **trusted** whoever she went with.

You're right. The friend is interpreting the text.

But if we look at the text, leaving out the presumably mistaken double-word, what could "OMG just pulled over again" mean? That she herself pulled over for whatever reason, and finds that unusual enough to include an "OMG"? It doesn't really make sense to me.

If in deed she did pull over?

I think the second ''just'' was meant to be ''been'' and she's telling her friend what had just happened when she got chance to text.
IMO LE pulled her over once.

I interpret OMG as she's fed up and frustrated for being pulled over "again".

I agree. I think the time line shows that she would have texted that at the gas station. Perhaps she was nervous or hurried and didn't pay attention to the error. Or driving....

I think that her friend responds "whyyyy" doesn't mean it's alarming but rather a common occurrence. My BFF has gotten lost while driving since we were 16. Before GPS and smart phone maps. She still will text me when she's lost as its our little joke that the woman can't follow directions. I think this is similar.

I'm more interested in what happened in the 10 minutes after that text was sent. As I said earlier, why not get gas at the first QT stop? Was her card declined at the pump? Did the officer watch her pump gas? I, too, think people know more than they are saying.

I think it's important to note that 31st and SW Blvd is on the cusp of the KS and MO state line. If you cross the street across SW Trafficway you are in KS. In her travels that night she would have gone through several LE jurisdictions. The idea that she was pulled over by each of them I think is slim.

Yes if we interpret it as the friend did - that she got pulled over by someone. I was referring to JC40's post who theorized that maybe the text does not mean that someone pulled her over. In which case the "OMG" wouldn't make sense to me.

Okay - I've just finished reading this whole thread! Whew... Here's a timeline I put together from reading along;

Toni Anderson's Timeline:

9pm (approx), Saturday, January 14th Left home to go to work at Chrome per
boyfriend Peter Sanchez per video. Lives on Grand Blvd.

4:05am, Sunday morning, January 15th Before stated at 4:11am - Toni left
work at the Chrome Club shortly after 4 a.m. to meet up with a friend but she never
made it. (Chrome nightclub at 7400E Highway 40 near the Truman Sports Complex)
(Note: Toni was on her way to meet a friend at the QuickTrip on Southwest/31st
where it was originally said she was headed and Sources say when Toni left Chrome,
she had plans to meet with friends at Shady Lady, a strip club on the eastside of
Kansas City, at 2800 E 12th St.)

4:25am She was pulled over at 4:25 a.m. by a North Kansas City, Missouri,
police officer — a separate jurisdiction from Kansas City — for a routine traffic stop for
an illegal lane change, which resulted in a warning. At Officer saw her pull into
QuickTrip at 2525 Burlington to pump gas. (QT ATM near 26th and Burlington along 9
Highway) (Police say she was alone when she was pulled over and they watched her
pull into QuikTrip to pump gas.)

4:33am She then stopped for gas, police confirm. Toni's debit card was
declined at 4:33am, according to family's bank records. A declined transaction
at QT. (Police dashcam has her leaving QT going south. Toni turned left onto 31st
headed toward Southwest Blvd and then who knows where?)

4:42am At 4:42am, she texted her friend, “OMG just got pulled over again.” It
is not clear if she was referring to the 4:30 traffic stop or a subsequent one.

4:53am She has not been heard from since, though she received an incoming
text (or call?) at 4:53am; family says number is from a man who is cooperating with
police.
To Toni’s mother, the phrasing of that final text does not sit well with her. “I don’t
understand why she would write ‘I’m getting pulled over again’ in the same night,”
Anderson says. “It just keeps resonating in my brain ‘again,’ ‘again’ … that’s just odd to
me.”

Brian Anderson is also asking businesses to check their surveillance footage if they're
on Tony's route from her home on the 1000 block of Grandview Blvd to the QuikTrip
on 2525 Burlington St. He says she would have been on the road between 4:50
a.m. and 5:15 a.m.
on Jan. 15, Sunday morning.

9:30pm Sunday night Toni's phone goes dead. (Battery dead?)

Please add if I missed something! TIA!

This is just from personal experience . One usually texts omg just got pulled over again while sitting in their car waiting for police to run their info. Not almost 15 minutes later.
