Is it possible that Yasmin took her son and committed suicide and that his body just hasn't been discovered yet? Maybe she wanted to punish her ex.

I guess anything is possible. We just don't know. LE and/or the media haven't released anything in a very long time. VERY FRUSTRATING.

Maybe it's time to go send some emails to the news stations who initially covered the story, asking for an update. Yes, I think I will do that.

bumping for Gebar. Where could he be?

Why is this case not getting more attention?

Family Pleads For Information On Missing U. City Child

A family is desperate to find a two year old University City boy missing since March. Police found his mother dead in April, but have yet to recover any sign of Gebar Byrd, Junior. Detectives call it an active case, but admit they have no idea where he is.

[snip]

Yasmin and Gebar disappeared in late March. The last place they were seen alive was in University City, where they lived with Gebar's father. He is fully cooperating with police in their investigation. While detectives are re-interviewing some of the main players in the case this week, they have yet to determine if Yasmin's death is even a crime. Her cause of death has not yet been determined. Gebar Byrd, Senior says there is an unbelievable void in his heart.

There's been no massive ground search for Gebar, and Yasmin's family is growing weary. No sign of him. No answers for them.

BBM. Are you kidding me. Cause of death hasn't been determined after over a month?!? Well...IMO a simple drowning would be fairly simple to determine.

I don't like the attitude that implies. I mean, are they trying to get an idea??

It doesn't seem like they are trying very hard.

Granted, we can't see what's going on behind the scenes. But still. Almost seems like a pathetic attempt to find a missing 2 year old.

I wonder if they have more reason to believe that he drowned with his mother than they are willing to publicly state right now? I really hope and pray that he is with someone that is taking care of him, but wouldn't they have called by now?
