Have been reading and sleuthing news and information for a while... God bless JC and her family! After all that I have read and all... it seems really odd to me that in an interview that "Cassandra market" (as she gave as her name) gave about being the one that asked JC for a cigarette is actually Sandy Rudd, which is an aunt to the abusive ex-boyfriend that has moved to Iowa. Also the man that was filling the gas can is her (SR) boyfriend. Why would she give a different name? and what all has been going on in the past and current with this family and JC? Also, have read where JC had lived with the ex-boyfriend as his mother for a time. Which is a sister to SR. This just seems way to convenient for the two to be there and getting gas in a can, just before JC was murdered. Also what kind of vehicle do they drive? Is it loud?

There have been several references in the past 24hrs to a "church lot". As I recall most of those began about the time that someone posted undocumented commentary surrounding the tipster, Ray McClenic. That post was subsequently deleted.

In addition to the McClenic reference, now a member has suggested that Charlotte Wilkerson claims that Jessica was "supposedly going to a church lot." (http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?265665-MS-Jessica-Chambers-19-found-burned-near-her-car-Panola-County-Dec-2014-3&p=11319235#post11319235)

I know that the deleted-McClenic-post mentioned a church lot, but I do not recall Wilkerson saying so.

I have reviewed the Action 5 News video "The first responders... but Wilkerson does not make mention of a church lot in there.

I seem to recall a second interview video with Wilkerson but I can not find it yet. Does anyone have that reference? I seem to recall that she spoke with Janice Broach a second time, shortly after the funeral, and that she was not wearing her baseball hat.

ETA: She is interviewed a second time here, but again no mention of a church lot.

I personally don't believe he's received any threats whatsoever. I also believe he knew JC a lot better than he alleged in his recent news interview (making it sound like he knows her superficially, just as a daily customer). If he's afraid of anything, IMO, it's that the FBI are involved and the ***** is going to hit the proverbial fan sooner or later. What happened to the tough guy showing off the automatic weapon or flashing wads of cash? All JMO.

He was cleared by the FBI.

COURTLAND, MS (localmemphis.com)--A Panola County, Mississippi gas station owner has been cleared by the FBI in the murder of 19-year-old Jessica Chambers.

I honestly feel bad for AA at this point. Any way you cut the pie, he's coming out in a slice. The kid knows he's in a bad area, so he posts pictures of himself with firearms so he can look hard to the locals. I'll tell you what, if I was a 19 year old kid alone at work with lots of cash on hand, in a town with that much criminal activity I'd want to look hard too. He just doesn't strike me as malicious enough to be a gangbanger, and he sure as hell isn't smart enough to be any sort of kingpin. He's got money he's displaying, so what, ya know it's the culture that's prevalent there, he wants to be a high roller too. At least he hasn't posted pictures of himself eating money... Yet, lol. Yeah I know he's posted pictures of expensive belongings too, but the part of the world he came from is thick with oil money. Who knows if he has an uncle with oil money? I know I don't.

If he actually does know anything and he isn't talking about it, it's for the same reason no one else is talking about it. The gangs rumored to be present there aren't the boy scouts, and that is for damned sure.

The dumb *advertiser censored* sheriff if he actually did tell him what he said he told him, actually endangered his life. There are some real kooks that want this kid dead, because they think he knew how Jessica died before he should have.

He does need to go completely silent at this point, every time he opens his mouth he sticks both feet in it.

I kinda look at AA as what we used to call "a victim of circumstances". I find him half like-able. He strikes me as the type of person who can present himself to "whoever" as "whatever". But he is walking a tightrope. And like they say, "give him enough rope and he'll hang himself". Early on he represented himself as someone very attuned to his regular customers (like Jessica) and on top of the happenings at his gas station. That doesn't jibe with him then stating that "I wasn't there that morning" when the altercation happened with Jessica and someone. Reconcile that with him saying that if Jessica was having trouble she would tell him.
I am confident that LE knows much much more than we do, and they definitely indicate they are leaning towards arson and homicide. As horrible as that is to contemplate. Jessica's phone records from that evening must be telling. I don't know exactly where the information of a 20min call with her mom came from, but does anyone know the start and end time of that call where? Could the time of that call coincide with when she was parked on that embankment?

Early in this thread there was a lot of talk that the flatbed must have been the property of AA's gas station. Have we found out? If that flatbed headed out from the gas station then AA would certainly have known something was going on. Even if the flatbed wasn't called till well after the fire was put out, wouldn't the ambulance carrying Jessica have passed the gas station by then? Not to mention the Med helicopter in the neighborhood? I find it hard to believe that he wasn't aware of anything going on until 11:00 when the flatbed with car pulled up outside the station. I grew up in a small town, and when I was out hanging around on a Saturday night, that kind of action had everybody heading to the scene.
This post is long enough for now, I might post later about theories about car fire accidents when the mood strikes me.

Why does this article refer to Sanders as Sanford in one spot...anybody else notice that?

I would guess that it is probably just a copy-editing oversight on the part of the article's authors. The Action 5 New article also has the mistake; they are the originators of the story, not WMCTV.

ETA: There may be more to this than just copy-editing. There is a Derrick Sanford on the South Panola "Tigers" football team. I emailed Janice Broach for a clarification.

"We know what happened to her," said District Attorney John Champion. "We're not going to comment on that."

The final results of the autopsy might not be available for about six weeks, Champion said, but officials have what they need to know what happened to the teen before her tragic burning death.

According to that statement made by the DA they know what happened to Jessica. To me that means some scenarios can be ruled out. I'm thinking an unknown rapist killer is not at the top of the list. More like someone known to Jessica and more than likely not a sexual attack.

I think we can safely rule out accident and suicide??

<snip> I know for a fact he was interviewed by the FBI for 3 hours and cleared.

I asked about the death threats he says he's gotten. He played some of them back on his phone for me and showed me some he had saved from screen shots. The FBI is handling those.

Ok, I took a couple of days to Christmas shop and am trying to quickly catch up. I'll have to disagree with you on the drug dealing out in the open. I've seen so many deals go down in convenience store parking lots I've lost count. The idiots dealing either don't care who sees them or are too stoned to give a fig.

I agree. A few years ago I had some work done in my house and I needed cash to pay the plumber. We drove in separate vehicles to a convenience store where I got cash from the ATM and paid him in the parking lot! I even said "I hope no one sees this and thinks it's a drug deal, LOL"

I knew I read 3 hour interview somewhere. Thanks for posting that. :)

Oh, I had to add about Chicken. TY, guys for catching me up on the young language of the day. I had no idea that could be slang for drugs. My Mom actually called me the other day and asked if I knew what gravel was. Of course I said I did and she went on to say it was drug. I was talking about the rocks that go in your driveway..lol..that's the only gravel I knew of. Apparently, it's slang for bath salts.

ME too! I read an article a little while back that said those roses in glass tubes at gas stations were crack pipes. I was like "wth?". Everybody in the comment section were pretty much yawning about it as if everyone in the world knew that. I still don't know if it's true.

Just addressing the part I bolded: Jessica's mother Lisa stated in an interview that she spoke to her on the phone for 20 minutes. She didn't state the exact time of the call, as far as I know. I think she may have been on a landline and thus the mom didn't have exact times or duration. Or could have been edited out by media. That seems to happen an awful lot in high profile cases, intentionally or not.

I've wondered if that's how the party story got started. Maybe ShaSha was talking about a party on a completely different day. I used to "party" back in the day and rarely did they happen at 6 or 7. Might start in the late afternoon and continue into the evening. Otherwise, we'd get started about 9 p.m. (Unless there really was a party at the church that was church-sponsored, which doesn't sound gang or drug related to me.)

so there was another assault on her the week prior. has this been discussed already?
M initial instinct is that this was a DV attack, and this info further validates that to me - or to shut her up.

yeah, nothing more to it than what is said in that article. so we dont really know how reliable that info is right now. hopefully LE knows a lot more about it than we do and have determnied if it happened and if it is related.

JMO - Customers are probably repeating things they've seen online.

"Police say those who have been questioned in the case have all cooperated."

Maybe there is no street talk because there was no murder?

Pure speculation on my part:

The father's quote about someone pouring accelerant down her throat kicked off this whole thing. Why he said that, I don't know but you have to admit that scenario doesn't make a bit of sense.

Media picked up that quote and ran with it. It became a self-fulfilling headline, "murder mystery." Then social media and non-media blogs went berserk with theorizations and accusations. Law enforcement was then forced to prove beyond any and all doubt exactly what happened in this case because otherwise, people would speculate and whisper about a murder coverup for years to come. Law enforcement relies on the public's trust. You know how difficult it is to prove a negative. That's what they are being forced to do.

I might be dead wrong but that seems as likely as anything else I'm reading.

Back in September a little girl, Hiawayi Robinson, went missing around here. There was a search, and later she was found dead. There was a lot of interest in the case, especially locally. The police and DA were mum about whatever they were doing. It was frustrating. It began to feel like they weren't doing anything, that her murder would never be solved. That a child killer would run free in our midst and we wouldn't see any justice for Hiawayi. Then, this past Tuesday, they arrested her father for her murder. It turned out that while I thought they were forgetting about her, they were quietly busy rounding up every sexual predator near her, a whole host of other people , and sadly, her own father. They were doing DNA test on all of them, IIRC the DA said around 200. All the while telling us, the public, nothing.

I hope this is what is happening for Jessica. I want to believe that it is.

I guess this is the guy who JC ran from and stayed in a battered women's shelter several months ago- according to JC'S father. The gas in the mouth ,in my mind ,is way to say shut up or you've talked too much. I don't believe this is random and I believe she knew the person or an associate of that person.
