I think you're right because Jessica was still alive when the 911 call was made and LE responded. Her killer probably did not stick around or I think they would have been seen. Also means her killer wasn't aware she not only was still alive, she spoke to first responders. This is going to get ugly for the killer. I don't see this case remaining unsolved for long.
The fire makes the timeline pretty tight for anyone to try and make up an alibi. JMO.

I have not read one article that indicated what time JC's friend rode past the place where JC's car was found. I have not seen any report of her night fishing either. Can someone please provide links?

Jessica was last seen on the gas station video at night. The way this is written makes it appear her friend passed by after Jessica's car was there but didn't see her car.

Fowler passed by the scene Saturday on her way to crappie fish at Enid Lake.

That also could explain the delays. Lotsa cell phone records that cops need to pull and scrutinize and analyze.

I can't quote directly the post I'm replying to because it was on thread page number four, but I'm replying to Angleena.

This case is so bizarre that anything is possible. While I was working today, a young woman came in that looked nearly exactly like Jessica, even had her hair up the same way. The thought crossed my mind that maybe Jessica has been put in the witness protection program (Wishful thinking I am sure). But it is possible. No sense of urgency from the police. FBI involved for what reason? Mom and Dad state different things, Dad says she wasn't recognizable and had a gash on her head. Mother said she did not have a gash on her head and she was recognizable. No one local put flowers at the site of the incident. Certain people were not allowed at the funeral. It was a closed casket. It is a perfect setup for someone's exit from their current life in to the witness protection program. I don't think that is what happened here, but it is another possibility.

I had about the same thought yesterday. I read about every post made on WS and also MSM links and what not. The fact that there seems to be no real updates from the police or FBI seems very odd to me.

It could also be because they're having a hard time to get confirmation that the people they suspect did it, or that they're trying to hide something.

But you know, I spent years investigating about the attack on the World Trade Center (9-11), along with other people. What we found out is that usually, when there isn't much information about someone, or when their friends' and families' testimonies about the person are clashing with each other, there is a reason to dig deeper. I won't get into details because 9-11 is not related to this thread at all, but the kind of information that we got on Jessica's life and death reminded me of some type of cover up.

Your right, there's no time listed when Fowler passed by the scene on Saturday. Maybe she was referring to it as being ironic that she passed by the scene on her way to go fishing? JMO.

Has LE released the 911 call and the name of the person who happened by and found Jessica?

That scenario makes no sense to me because if she passed by on her way to go fishing and Jessica's car was there, she would have seen LE all over it. If she passed by prior to Jessica's car being there, then there was no "scene."

That scenario makes no sense to me because if she passed by on her way to go fishing she would have seen LE all over it. I've seen the google pix of that road and it is very narrow and rural.

What time did she leave to go fishing?

What time did she leave to go fishing?

I don't know that she has said. I also don't know why she would take that route to go fishing or if she gave those details to the press. All I know is that she says she drove past there on Saturday, the day of the crime.

I reread what Fowler said.

"Sunday morning, I took my phone off the charger and looked at Facebook, like I almost always do, and I saw the Fly High Jessica Chambers page," Fowler said, referring to the digital memorial Chambers' friends and family had set up. Once she realized what happened, "I got sick to my stomach," Fowler said. "I can't believe I didn't see anything when I passed by here. I wish I had. I would have helped her. I would have fought for her if I had to."

It's sounds like she's saying that she wished she had driven by the crime scene when Jessica was being attacked and she would have fought to save her. In reality she drove by at a different time and was not able to help her. JMO.

Hi all.... new member here, but have followed the case intently since it first broke in the news. I have diligently tried to read all the posts regarding this, so as not to plow ground that has already been covered. I wonder two things as I speak, and that I have not really seen anybody elucidating upon.....
1. Is there any sense that the father might have run afoul of the gangs, especially because of his work with the sheriff's dept? The reason the thought came to me is this: I have worked with prison crews for extended times in the course of renovating an old historic building in my hometown. I have become very familiar with their M.O. The road and shortline crews are under intense pressure from inside the prison to serve as mules, carrying contraband inside their persons into the prison upon their return from work detail. we had several at various times who were caught with contraband in and on them. One man was caught with two cell phones inside his rectum, supposedly being hired by gangbangers to mule them in. I would never want to slander or malign anyone, but does it seem plausible that Jessica's dad had run afoul of the gangs because of either his refusal to smuggle contraband in, or because he had previously done it and was stopping because of the heat coming down on the prison system due to abuses?

I can't figure out why she would say: "I can't believe I didn't see anything when I passed by here. I wish I had. I would have helped her. I would have fought for her if I had to."

She wouldn't say that unless she feels something WAS taking place when she passed by and she simply failed to notice. LE has not said what took place, including whether or not there was some kind of fight.

JMO

the other thing that has occurred to me but I have not seen really spelled out is this: There has been much talk of federal marshals/drug task force personnel already being onsite in Mississippi... what are the odds that Jessica had been talking extensively to the feds regarding the gangbangers? That would get her killed quicker than anything she could have done.... It also might incite the horrible method of retribution that was brought down.... again, I apologize if this has been covered. I tried to read ALL the previous posts, but surely I have missed some......

Hi and welcome. I've worked with inmates and my purse and sometimes me were searched every time I went thru the sally port. I think Jessica's dad is a mechanic with the sheriff's dept. and I doubt he interacts much with prisoners in the jail but even if he does, a gang is not going to use an LE employee to try to smuggle in contraband. The LE employee would be fired and the prisoner sent up the river, sotospeak.

JMO

it seems obvious from pictures filtering out of the facility that contraband seems to be pervasive and readily obtained inside amongst the gangbangers... SOMEONE is muling it in..... I also found through my association with the shortline crews that, according to them, life inside could be brutal for those who got balky on them. Another thing I was told is that cell phones are such a no-no, mainly because for a , having a cell phone means that you are not really off the street, and can direct anything from criminal enterprise to a hit on a guard prison official OR their families. I was told this by a guard who had worked in our prison system for 25 years.

Poor wording. The "didn't see anything" is a fact. The "wish I had" is telling me that she wanted to help. The "would have helped" bolsters that sediment. The "would have fought for her" is showing me that she is angry about what happened. JMO.

MyBelle, they catch prison officials here on a fairly regular basis.. also, I am not sure what kind of structure Panola County has regarding road crews, but assuming that they do have shortline crews that go out daily, they have to have someone close to them who can stage the contraband in such a way that they can have it tucked away inside them and ready to smuggle it back inside the prison.

I am confident that Panola County DID have shortline crews that went outside, because I read where a former sheriff had been tagged for having them install siding on his house. Here where I live, I believe all the county lockups have crews that go out daily.

Thanks for the insight! What is a shortline crew?
