LE hasn't said the father left. Everything I've read, is father was home.

A 2 year old did "leave," and she is still gone. It would make sense (to me) for that to be the reason the children were removed.
Sorry but DFS does not remove the remaining children of the parents of one missing child. That is not cause for removal.
There has to be a serious reason for this.

Is a 2 year old going missing and not being reported for 6 hours...not a serious reason?

IMO that alone, is cause enough. The family doesn't exactly seem to be taking responsibility. It could happen again. That's also reason enough. JMO

I agree. It could be neglect related to living conditions etc. or it could be that they've uncovered other concerns.

One thing I do know is that those officers from various agencies have been going non-stop trying to find this two year old. I believe they have their reasons for what they're doing and they're being careful not to show their hand. JMO.

If she was breastfeeding, she probably has milk in the freezer. Since she was out all day Saturday, it leads me to believe she pumped (baby would have needed to eat, there aren't many newborns who go 5 hours between day time feedings) or used formula.

...

true. otoh, I breastfed for a total of four years (2 babes) & never had milk frozen.

clearly LE knows a whole lot more than they're letting on as with the alanna Gallagher case.

I see what you're saying but no, it's not reason enough. I have followed missing children cases for years and years and they don't remove children because one was taken. (presuming the parents are innocent of the "disappearance")

I think we'll be hearing of the reasons for removal soon enough.

I don't know, maybe we're both saying the same thing, but in a different way. We have to be careful with family accusations--for now.

I'm certainly not accusing the family of doing anything to her. I'm only saying they made terrible and tragic choices.

And, Myra wasn't just taken...like other families. She wandered off with no supervision, and it went unreported for 6 hours. (If that's the scenario, but we have nothing else to go off of right now.) On top of that, the family is not saying they regret not doing anything different. They are acting put out by the mother's own bad choices that landed her in jail. They are not talking about Myra ever, and nothing seems to be about her. There were weapons.

The accumulation is enough, I think. There is more...I'm sure...but I don't think they needed more.

I feel that I should point out that the weapons are only an issue because of the mother's felony conviction. She had it concealed on her person. Many good people have weapons in their homes for various good reasons. I would guess that the majority here in our state do.

BITES TONGUE !

But I will say, what a little, living, breathing doll Myra is.... a precious gift that so many people would love to have and to help grow up in their home.

Be well baby girl !

I wonder why they think she is close to home. If an accident did occur and then some kind of cover up then she could be anywhere along mums route to the shops!!
Poor little Myra, like so many others come to this world and don't stay long enough for us to know them or see them grow.
Be safe little one *advertiser censored*

She may not have gone shopping IMO.

Where does it say for sure that she wandered off? At this point No One knows what happened, but if there is a link that says this I missed it so Please provide

Wandered off, abducted, taken, missing...etc. She was there with adults present, and she went missing. Whatever the word one would like to use, is not the point I was trying to make.

Sorry, I was not speaking about weapons in general being bad. I meant exactly what you are saying. There were weapons and it was not legal for her to have them. In THIS situation, they were bad. I'm not painting with a broad stroke.

Aside from the obvious desperation we all feel about wanting to find Myra, I'm interested to know more about the welfare fraud.

As the old saying goes, * They can have my guns, when they pry it from my cold dead hands*! I've been helping my hubby with his collection, since the day we Wed. But, WE ARE RESPONSIBLE gun owners! Our guns stay locked in a 1,000 pound safe. We also live in a very remote, isolated area. so guns are needed for protection. :seeya:
